John R. Hamilton has been engaged in the practice of law since 1965. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1965 from the Washburn University School of Law, Topeka, Kansas. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Union University in 1962. John authored the “Eminent Domain-Practice and Procedure” chapter of the Kansas Real Estate Practice and Procedure Handbook, Kansas Bar Association, 2009, and co-authored the Kansas Chapter “Law and Procedure of Eminent Domain in the 50 States,” Condemnation Land Use and Zoning Committee, Litigation Section, American Bar Association (2009). On May 14th, 2016, John received an Honorary Doctor of Law degree from Washburn University School of Law, being widely recognized as a leading expert in the areas of eminent domain and condemnation.
