Thanks for visiting us here at Root Canals Only. My name is Dr. Graydon J. Briggs. I am a general dentist who has been doing root canals for other dentists in Northern Utah for over 22 years. I am pleased to now announce the opening of our office for Root Canals Only located in the North Tooele County Dental Specialty Center at Stansbury Park. (Stansbury Park is approximately 23 minutes from I-15 and I-80 in the Salt Lake valley). Many dentists don't like doing root canals, especially the more difficult ones, so they automatically refer them out of their office to a specialist (an endodontist), whose fees are necessarily 50%-80% higher than most general dentists. This is because of the kind of treatment they are routinely called upon to render. Often they are dealing with broken instruments inside the tooth, perforations of the root, extremely curved roots or calcified canals, trauma, access problems and medically compromised patients. I believe they earn every dollar they charge. Please know however, that 85% of all root canals are done by general dentists, like me.
