Melissa provides a service that allows you to learn to play the piano right from the comfort and convenience of your very own home, or in her home and private piano studio.Melissa Traugott earned her Bachelors Degree in Music Education at Nazareth College of Rochester (December 2007). For the last two and a half years she traveled the area east of Rochester privately teaching piano lessons at her students homes. She accompanied her church choirs for many years and was employed as a professional accompanist at a local public school in the Rochester, NY area. She enjoys performing for various occasions and events. She recently received her Master of Science degree in Music Education (August 2012) while also receiving an Advanced Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Nazareth College of Rochester (May 2012). After completing MS in Music Education, she has returned to the Buffalo, NY area to teach. Formerly serving the areas of Farmington, Macedon, and Palmyra, New York since late 2009. Relocating to the Tonawanda, NY (Buffalo) area by October 2012. Mission: My Philosophy: My goal is to give my students the necessary knowledge of the concepts of music and a thorough understanding of the techniques involved in playing the piano. I will teach them so that they may achieve their own personal goals of playing the piano and making music, whether it is for the joy of expression or to one day consider a profession involving music.
