leave like i did

So I'm on the way home from dropping my little Buddy off here and read these reviews. I told her there was an emergency and turned around and got my dog. He was there 10 minutes and smells like smoke! Please if you like your dog, leave now!

Turn around and leave!!! I wish I would have read this BEFORE I tried this groomer. My complaint is twofold: 1) The product/promised service was not completed; and 2) The behavior of the owner Stacey Doublin and the receptionist Cindy was appalling. I had contacted Le Pucci and scheduled a grooming appt for my 2 dogs. On the morning of December 22, 2012, at 8:30 am, I dropped off both my dogs. The minute I walked into Le Pucci Salon, it wreaked of cigarette smoke. This greatly concerned me as I am allergic to the smoke and I did not want my pets coming home smelling of smoke. Cindy was the only one there. She could not give me a definitive quote for the price of the grooming but said it would be between $20 to $30 each. She kept telling me how tired she was because they had been busy the evening before until after midnight; and that she only had a few hours of sleep. When I asked what time I could pick them up, she said, "we will call you". I requested that they be done at least before 4:00 pm that day as we were attending church. She said it would probably not be until after 7:00 pm as they were really busy. However, there was only 1 other dog there. I went ahead and left them, reluctantly. I was concerned but also had no other options, and was hoping my first instincts of the place were wrong. After I left, I knew something was amiss, and wanted to go back and get them, but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I called them at 3:30 pm, and Cindy informed me that they were not done yet - that it would be 7:00 pm. She also informed me that I would have to pay cash. I immediately felt sick. This just didn't seem right or humane. I asked her several questions - why did I have to drop them off so early if they couldn't get to it until later. She said that they have a set drop off time; then the woman who bathes them comes in and does that; then the groomer comes in and does that. I was still uneasy about the whole thing. We left for church. When we returned home, I phoned them again (7:00 pm). This time the owner, Stacey, answered the phone and said that they weren't done (they were still drying) and to give her another 30 minutes. How in the world were they still drying if they supposedly had their bath at 10:30 am? Nothing made sense on why it was taking so long. I went to the store to pick up my dogs at 7:30 pm. They STILL were not done. Stacey completely ignored me while she attended to another dog. I waited 10 minutes, and then Cindy came through the door so I asked her. She said she would be right back. She went into the back and was talking to Stacey, then they both went to the back of the store (out of sight) - all the while both my dogs are barking like crazy. I saw Cindy put on a fanny pack, which was weird. I finally, said "Can I please have my dogs?" Cindy came back out and said that the owner is having her period and needed to go to the bathroom. I said again, "just give me my dogs". She said, "they aren't done yet". I said, "they look done, so please give me my dogs." She went to the back of the store again (out of sight), then finally unlocked the cages and both my dogs came to me. They were not done. In the 12 hours they had been there, they had only had a bath. My lab's coat was a mess. I told them I would never come to this store again, and I asked how much I owed them. The owner, Stacy, said $70 which was over what I had been quoted. I plopped down $60 cash and left. Stacey was yelling at me as I was walking out - saying "if I would have known you weren't going to pay up, I would have kept your dogs." And the last word I heard was her calling me a "b**ch".

This is the first time ever that I have written a review. I dropped my dog off at 9am this morning and its 8:15pm and she still isn't ready...she doesn't have any food there to eat either. I keep calling every hour and they keep telling me 20 minutes. I really hate to do this because I am not for talking bad about small businesses but this is rediculas. It shouldn't take 12 hours to groom a dog.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! do not ta...

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! do not take your little guy or princess here. First and foremost the staff is not informative whatsoever. I was told my little guys grooming would take "a couple hours". Since it generally takes most places 2-3 that's what I assumed. At this establishment a couple of hours evidently means FIVE hours and fifteen minutes. They had to tell me twice they needed more time. That is just ridiculous. Also, I was told the price would be inbetween 20-30$.. They claimed the total price was 35.00$. That seems just a little unfair to me. I wouldn't waste your time here..just a hassle. Rover come over is way better.
