The Tilton Police Department provides law enforcement services and works to ensure the safety and security of citizens. It operates a communication center that coordinates responses to police, fire, and medical emergency and nonemergency calls for service. The department is comprised of more than 15 sworn officers and dispatchers. The Tilton Police Department employs several community relations and animal control officers, patrol supervisors and detectives. It hosts the Explorer program, which provides law enforcement training to students between the ages of 14 and 21. The department handles cases related to burglary, domestic violence, assault, sexual crime, vehicle lockouts, civil complaints and drug abuse. The Tilton Police Department is located in Tilton, N.H.
