The service on our Dryer was exceptional. The tech person was outstanding with her knowledge of system and had the parts handy to repair the dryer. Kudos to Sears and their associates. Thank you!

Our 9 yr. old dryer had a part go out. It made a grinding noise. Repairman came when he said he would, fixed and cleaned the dryer for $26 less than the estimate. He was very easy to work with.

12 year old Whirlpool dryer lost heat capabilities.
Tech came out, replaced the heating coil.
Total time start to finish was 30 minutes.
Tech was friendly and efficient.

I own a 2 year old Kenmore dishwasher that has had multiple problems. In this go-round, I recently had a third service appt. to repair the same problem (never the same service guy). Four days later I find that they did not fix the problem. Just made an appt. for a fourth visit. The phone schedulers have no idea who is coming. They can provide no continuity of service, cannot relay repair histories to service personnel. This is getting really annoying. Will not buy a Sears appliance again.

The person who came out was very informative and when over things I could do to help keep my washer/dryer in good working condition.

I had Sears technicians come twice to fix my water heater. The first visit was from Shawn and he replaced the thermocouple, He was a little bit more interested in selling me a new one instead, but in fairness it is a 1998 model. The heater worked for one day and failed. Another tech came and said that the thermocouple had fallen off it's holder so not installed right. The current tech cleaned the hole gas burner and reinstalled the thermocouple. He did not have proper lighting tools so I had to give him some matches! He could not get the unit to light or work, so left me with a broken heater and a $187 bill, which I paid! I wound up fixing it myself and it works fine now.

I scheduled a maintenance check for my 3 appliances that I had the Master Protection Agreement on. The technician went on about how usually things go wrong with appliances because of user error, the owners never read their manuals. He said my dishwasher wasn't installed properly, I told him it was installed by Sears, he asked, "did they have a sears uniform"? I said no, but Sears sent them. The pump in the washer had coins in it and black lint. He told me the black lint was because I was using detergent or softner that wasn't HE, or I was using the wrong amount. I showed him how much I used and the products I used, which were both correct. Then he goes to put the pump back together, and something popped. He didn't wipe out the inside and there was a little piece of metal in the very back. So the cover to the pump broke. I had to have a new pump, covered under the Maintenance agreement, thankfully.

A different Technician came out later in the day and installed the new pump and was as nice as could be. Wish I had gotten the first Tech's name, I would ask he not come to my house again.

I just wonder if you Sears even read these reviews??????? I am so upset with Sears, their response of getting someone to my house to look at my dryer and then to repair It. I called on Oct 9 schedule for someone to come out and fix my drye. It was schedule Oct 19. During that time I was running back and forth to the laundry mat using my own gas to dry my clothes. Oct. 19 The repair man order 5 different parts to be rescedule to come back out Oct. 30 to repair the dryer. .. So again I am running back and forth to the laundry mat and using my own gas to dry my clothes. I called Sears regarding this many times and complaining about the timing. I Don"t buy from Sears.. Very UnHappy. You want me to give Sears a Star Rating before I can Save.. Are you Crazy!!!! I am giving a one star just to save my message. But you don't even deserve that.

I am so frustrated to spend more $$ on a refrigerator than I did my first car and have the ice maker continue to flood my kitchen. I think we are on our 5th service call and it flooded again one day after the so called repair. I waited 2 weeks for that repair and now another week out for this next hopeful repair. i used to be a huge Sears fan, but not so much anymore.

Sears Home Repair is a joke! 3 weeks waiting for my fridge to be fixed. They finally came and replaced the compressor and drier assy and it still doesn't work. They won't refund my money and won't come look at it for another week!.

I will never use this service again. After waiting over two weeks for the return appointment to repair my washer, they showed up two hours before their scheduled 4-hour window and left a note on my door saying 'sorry we missed you'. After making numerous phone calls to find out what happened and being told that someone would return my call within 20 minutes, which never happened, I gave up and found someone else to do the repairs. I was told that the seal they were going to replace for over $400 was actually damaged by a much more expensive part and the washer is not worth repairing. This is by far the worst service I've ever received.

Horrible experience with their in-home repair service. We have an out of warranty Samsung microwave with a broken door that wouldn't close. After contacting Samsung a week or so ago they set up an appointment for an A&E technician to come to our home last night between 1-5pm. After multiple calls confirming the appointment with both Samsung and A&E where I gave multiple people the Model, Serial Number and necessary parts for repair needed I waited for the tech to arrive. At 4:44pm last night I received a call from the tech letting me know that he was running late but that he would be there shortly since he was nearby. He showed up after 6pm, took one look at the microwave by opening up the door, checked the parts numbers on his truck and told me that he couldn't fix it with what he had and that he would need to order the parts that (phone reps from both Samsung & A&E said he would bring with him) and then the earliest he could reschedule another visit was after December 10th. He then presented me with a bill for $85 for a trip charge... I informed him that I wasn't going to pay that much money for a late appointment when he wasn't even able to fix anything. He spent 30 minutes trying to figure out things on his computer and then called other techs before leaving me a bill and a phone number to customer service that doesn't work to discuss this fiasco with a supervisor. I just received a call from Samsung a few minutes ago and the customer service rep was surprised that A&E handled the situation this way. She gave me a number to call for the local customer service center (that matches the one on the bill left last night) but the automated message on that number doesn't give any options for talking to a local person. She is looking finding another company to repair the unit that will actually come prepared so I should hear back later today.

In the meantime, buyer beware.

DONT DO IT!!! STAY AWAY, DONT...

DONT DO IT!!! STAY AWAY, DONT BUY FROM THEIR WEBSITE AND DONT USE THEIR PORTRAIT STUDIOS.

spent 10K on new appliances( stove, fridge, dishwasher and dryer) & their warranty program. with the execption of the dryer, all of them broke at least twice within the first year. Usual wait for service is a month- month and half : 2 weeks for repair guy to come out to look at it, 2 more weeks for parts to come in, then 2 more weeks after that for repair guy to come back out to install parts. Being without a stove for a month and a half with small children is not something i expected when i spent 1700 on the stove itself and another 250 for warranty.

I also bought items online. i bought a heater. it got delivered and did not function at all. was unable to return it because it was from one of their online vendors, and not their direct store. took 4 weeks to resolve. if i sent it back, i would have to pay for the shipping. Sears merchant decided to blame FedEx for damage to the heater when there obviously was no signs of damage to the package itself when it arrived. so i had to wait until they resolved that issue with Fedex before they would refund me.

Recently, decided to use sears portrait studio for xmas pics. i bought 2 photos right then and there after the photo session, but the rest would be available online after 72 hours for me to view and order more photos. 6 days passed and no photos available yet. i called, emailed 3 times and even left voicemails for the district manager. no response to any. called the customer service number again on the website...48 minutes i waited...no one picked up. then hung up and tried to call the store location where i took the photos, to ask about my online photos and the 2 that i ordered...just got a busy tone. called every half hour on the hour. nothing. called back the customer service number and waited 38 more minutes...apparently, it was done 5 days ago, but they forgot to email me to let me know and give the the full login and password. i asked if i ordered today, would i be able to get the photos in time for xmas next week. i was possibly but i would have to select overnight shipping. so needless to say, xmas pics this year is a no go.

Do yourself a favor...dont shop SEARS. Your money is better spent elsewhere. And for photos go to JC PENNEYs instead. I personally have had enough. I am canceling all credit accounts i have with sears and will definitely take my money and time somewhere else.
