I drove two hours to get to the Lowes in Thomaston to pick up a steel ball bearing rolling craftsman tool chest, because shipping alone would have cost over 65$. When I got home and opened the box the tool chest was severely dented and looked like it had been dropped off the truck or smashed with a sledge hammer. When I called customer service they said I could drive another two hours or just live with severely damaged tool box. I would caution anyone who thinks they will get new quality equipment from this store, Don't leave the store without unboxing anything you get there. The box didn't have obvious outward damage so I believe the damaged unit was reboxed to be passed off as new. I am not at all happy with the customer service I received. Will never trust them again.

I give Lowe's of Thomaston Maine my highest recommendation, Cindy Hardy whom I have had the pleasure of assisting me with my purchases since the store opened is not only a consumate professional, but is quick witted and can figure out for me what I need even if I don't know its "professional" name is. I am 73 years old and it isn't likely I will retain all the names if I have not already done so. Cindy recently mixed some paint ( I liked it better when she worked in hardware/tools, the new sales person is not as patient) that I had bought 27 years ago and when I finished the new job it was an exact match. I'm not the most intelligent person in the world but I do know colors and pigment have changed. I was greatly pleased with the results.Thank You Ms. Hardy, for another job "well done" It is always a pleasure doing business with you and will recommend you and Lowe's of Thomaston, Maine to all my friends.
