Andrew Kitcher, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist whose clinical interests include the pathophysiology of critical illness, cardiopulmonary physiology in mechanically ventilated patients, and palliative care in the ICU. Dr. Kitcher serves as medical director of the ICU at Temecula Valley Hospital, where he also directs the hospital's respiratory care services and pulmonary function testing. As an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Kitcher conducts research on chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary thromboendarterectomy surgery.He completed a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Kitcher earned his medical degree from Columbia University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.Dr. Kitcher is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
