So much to say, so little space.

Checker cab basically has a monopoly around this area - and they know it. They take advantage of this by offering the worst customer service you'll ever see.

They are rude, uncaring, and willing to ignore your business

They have no qualms with yelling at you on the phone and hanging up rudely on you.

They are constantly late for time calls, but if your ever late, expect to be charged extra.

You will 3/4 of the time share the cab with someone else, and this may cause you to be late to your destination.

Some of the cab drivers are good people, but some of them I'm afraid for my life when they're driving.

If you have any other option, any other option at all, use that option.

This cab is not worth it.

Rob at Checker Cab tells me that they only have 5 cars in their fleet and cover Raynham and Berkley, in addition to Taunton. They have very long wait times, as much as an hour and a half to 2hrs has been my experience. I've frequently had to share a cab with other fares, which means you won't be driven directly to your destination.

I've been calling the cab for years and every time I got picked up it was Car 8 Bill. It was always a pleasure to ride with him. He was super nice and was always safe. He used to pick me up in Dewert, most cab drivers were not liked in there but he was welcomed like family. He treated everyone the same regardless of their race. He didn't take any crap from anyone, but everyone respected him and knew that he could fight anyway. HIs cab was always clean and he treated the public very well but was never recognized for the driver and person he was. Its very sad that I don't see him anymore, its people like him that kept that place going.
Always nice..I heard that his boss wasn't nice to the drivers and its really sad that someone like this is gone because he was never appreciated for all he did for the city and us in Dewert. To all of us, he was the best and was #1.

I also had a horrific experience with this company. I don't understand why everyone just complains and does nothing about it. If everyone who had issues fought back maybe checker would not be so horrible to its customers. Perhaps a ton of calls from everyone who has been treated unfairly would work. Calls for a cab that results in no passenger when the cab shows up might wake them up.

Most unreliable cab ever. Called and they never showed up! Thank god after they were an hour late, I called another company.
So unreliable. And terrible customer service. The hotel I was at stopped giving their number out after my experience with them. Disgusted!

A checker cab (#5) drove down my street a little while ago, slowed down, and threw a piece of trash out the window into the middle of the street. As if that wasn't ignorant enough behavior, when my husband went out to throw it away, he discovered it was a paper towel with bits of feces on it! I don't even want to venture a guess at what that driver has got going on in his cab. Disgusting. Suffice it to say that if I ever need a cab, I'll walk before calling this company.

A great company. Always on time! The are curteous and proffesional too! I give them 5 stars because they deserve it.

This is the worst business that I've ever had to deal with.the dispatchers are rude.I called to arrange to have my son picked up at taunton high and the rude dispatcher told me "we don't do timed pick ups!call me back when he's standing there ready!" So I did and then he tells me we' Lloyd get there when we get there.they left my son waiting an hour and a half in 90+ heat.when I called after a half hour and hour wait, the a-hole dispatcher said "look lady you're not the only one in the city who needs a cab! It's the first of the month you know.everyone's getting their checks!!" I will never give those dickheads one more penny of my money again

I drive a cab. If you want livery service, pay livery prices. You want the nations best prices you get what you pay for. If they are so bad buy a car and it will lower their burden.

Often relying on checker cab often over an hour late! You can never expect this company to pick you up at a reasonable time, if theyre not there in 10 minutes be prepared to wait an hour for a crazy cab driver to pick you up.

Iv made time calls with them for 11:15 to be at work for 12:30 they didn't get to my house till 12:25.i got to work at 12:45. the retarded cab driver stopped to have lunch hes lucky i didn't have my gun on me.

I called them to get a ride to my son's school because he was in a play they never came and got me they are rude and i will never use them again save your money

the worst cab company ever, always late, very rude in every manner..but don't have really have a choice as they are the only one here based in Taunton... if there is an option of 0 star out of 5, I would choose that!

A checker cab crashed into my car and when we pulled over the driver Rafael got out, tried fighting my vboyfriend and then called his boss to say it was our fault when we were driving straight in a clear lane and he was in the right lane full of traffic and without looking he cut into my lane crashing into myself my 3yr old daughter and boyfriend. The ambulance came to look at my daughter and the ignorant cab driver triesd playing the victim roll and left in a stretcher with the police and paramedics laughing at his poor act! I tried calling the main office and the socalled boss wouldn't give me any information! This happened on Thursday night. I recommend this company gets shutbsdown and hope that driver got fired!!!!

I went to one of my medical appointments today and took this horrible cab service and was not pleased. When i came out the driver was gone, he didnt even wait for me, But thank god for this other company in taunton. I rode with Follow Me Trans today who is based out of Taunton and they were great. The Driver is nice and polite. He brought me right to my door step and I think I will be doing more business with Follow Me Trans. I like their cab service too. Their Number 774-501-1110 Give them your business and stop letting Checker take advantage of us!

I took a taxi a couple weeks ago. the driver of taxi # 36 texted on his phone the whole way down weir st. Scared the crap out of me, wasnt watching the road. Not to mention I waited forever for him to pick me up, must have been busy on his phone. never again will i give this company business

First of all, the guy was late. Second when I got in the car it smelled of weed and the guy was smoking a cigarette. I have trouble breathing so this really got on my nerves. Thirrrrd he went and picked up another middle aged man completely out of the way from where I was going and I had an appointment I had to be at. And they talked the whole time about how they hate their wives. Keep in mind that I am a 17 year old girl. And last, but not least, when I was about to get out of the cab, the man next to me turned and said "I like your freckles, youre gorgeous. Id do you big time." I will never take a cab thru this company again.

two weeks ago i took cab and made a stop at cvs and i was in the store for 2 min then i came out the driver was taking his sweet time talking to his friend then charged me 10$ i refuse to pay that ten because he was lying and i dont like people lying and the driver told me fe will make sure i wont get cab anymore. and he did just like wat he said. called the company talked to the guy he was rude and he hang the fone on me.

So I was really hesitant to call after seeing all these nasty reviews. My car wouldn't start in the morning and I needed aride to and from school quickly. My cab driver was named Bill and he was fantastic. He was even early to pick me up from school. He was super nice, personable and even tried to help me figure out what was wrong with my car. If you're using this cab service I recommend asking for Bill and hopefully you'll have a great experience like I did.
