Great Fresh pastries. sometimes its really busy, but worth it. I usually come by on Tuesday when i leave Morts next door.

Bea's

I used to go to Browns Bakery and I moved from the area. Since Browns bakery is no longer open I decided to try Bea's bakery.

I was truly disappointed in the items I purchased. I bought Linzer tarts , Almond horns, and Bialys. The linzer tarts where not the delicate shortbread type of cookie I was used to , though the almond horn was not to bad, just a little soft. The bialys were the biggest disappointment. It was just like a flat bagel with onions on top. The bialys from Browns were a different sort of dough with a hint of onion in the dough and onions on top, but there was a sort of floury covering over the bialy. They were fantastic..... Great with cream cheese or as a sandwich bread. I can;t believe Browns is not in business any longer, such a shame.........

Bea's did have some beautiful cakes and desserts that were very pleasing to the eye.... I know there many assortments of bread are top of the line though. Maybe I am just to picky.
