Provided by YP.comI wish we had the chance to eat there, but the hostess didn't seem to want to give us a table. She told us it would be 15-20 minutes and we said we'd wait. She kept trying to push us into a booth, then a high-top table...except we were eating with older people who really couldn't get on the high chairs. She kept making excuses for why we couldn't have a simple table, including that she had reservations two hours and 20 minutes away. Really? Two hours and 20 minutes away?
Finally, we relented and took her high-top table as that's the only thing she was willing to give up. My sister even mentioned that it seemed like she was trying to talk us out of eating there.
Long story short, we sat at the high-top for 10-15 minutes and no one even said "Hello" to us. No beverages. Nothing. No wonder she made it sound like being out of there in two hours and 20 minutes would be difficult. But the dining room was only half full at that point.
It was a complete waste of time and a total failure on all levels.
I called on our way to another restaurant and spoke to a manager who was very apologetic, but it was too late. It was a birthday dinner and our first time there. We won't go back. What's the point?

Provided by YP.comFirst Timer...Out of Towner...Food was great...Service was horrendous...I had a male server and honestly he should be nowhere near customers...Rude from beginning to end...I even left him a tip and tried to make things cool in the end...He was rude as I walked out the door...So stay away from a black messy haired, 6 ft, waiter that speaks really too fast...I was probably there only once, but if I ever came around, I would want food to go....

Provided by YP.comWe decided to try Sammie's because we had heard through friends that it was good. The first strike against this place is that it is really hard to get a parking spot in their front or back lot. The atmosphere is a casual bar with very very loud music. The music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other talking. We ordered 2 appetizers that were your typical fried bar food. My husband and I both ordered hamburgers and our son got the meatball sub. Our hamburgers were very dry and tasteless. The french fries were very heavy and soggy with grease. My son said the meatball sub was very bland and the sauce tasted old. If you like tasteless, greasy "bar" food, you might like this place. We were not impressed at all and will not be going back.

Provided by YP.comGreat place to eat! Wednesday is all you can eat Spaghetti & Meatballs so, yummy! Dave the owner is friendly, working hard to please his new place in his town. Again, great home cook meals! Don't drink...like the fireplace! Because it's new, room for improvement so gave 4 star.

Provided by YP.comGreat place to eat! Food is excellent and well-priced for how much you get. We had pretty good service, and I know that will improve as they are open longer

Provided by YP.comIgnore the negative comments. I almost didn't go because of them. We had about 6 in our group. We were all pleased with our food and drinks and prices were reasonable. The menu has quite a variety from sliders to oyster on the half shell. The servers were friendly and attentive.

Provided by YP.comI do not understand any of the negative reviews left on this restaurant. I came here with a few friends on a Friday night for dinner and I was impressed! I don't know if the bad reviewers just had crappy servers or what. I ordered a ruben and it was one of the best I've ever had and the fries are perfectly seasoned. My server was really helpful, full of energy, and really professional...I can't remember her name but she had big glasses. Anyways, the only negative thing I have to say is the menu is a little pricy but you get what you pay for and it sure is worth it.

Provided by YP.comThe place is horrible.... The food was good but really cold when it did come out. We waited for a half an hour to even have someone come over and ask if we have been waited on. The hostess sat my family in a nasty booth and didn't even know how to wipe it down the right way. Almost 2 hours later we got the check and it is very pricey. Don't order wine it was sour. I ordered a sweet wine it tasted like it was out in the open for days. Worse time ever at a place. Your better off getting a dog to wait on you then go there.

Provided by YP.comI just visited this new establishment this evening for dinner! What a delightful surprise!! The atmosphere is light and inviting! The menu was so diverse...and when the food came I couldn't believe the portion sizes!! The bartender was clearly excited about the home made chili and meatball sub - so I tried it! She was right! Delicious! I cant wait to go back and try something else on the menu!
When I was looking to post this I found a review from yesterday. I'm so confused by the negative comments left by that customer. The bar was full of happy people getting off of work. The dollhouse hanging, I asked about this, is paying homage to Bob - who built the dollhouse and helped the owners with so much before open. I don't know if that person who wrote that review is just used to "bar" food or fast food - but the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get there.

Provided by YPmobileNice enough people own Sammie's and the people who work there are nice but the food was very average and over priced. The poor owners hired old bartenders from Tallmadge's Firehouse and it has attracted the same clients. It really is a shame because the resturant has a lot of potential but it will and so far has attracted a trashy crowd. There is a random house hanging in the corner of the bar in which it makes no sense. I really don't think this place will make it.
