My husband and I rented a truck from this Uhaul for 1 day. The truck was due back the following morning at 8am, which was before the store opened. We returned the truck on time with more than enough gas, and deposited the keys into the drop box. Well later on that day, I called the Uhaul to find out what the exact charge was for the rental, since they charge per mileage, I didn't know what the exact amount was going to be. Well thankfully my husband paid exact attention to how many miles we put on the truck because the Uhaul emailed me a receipt and to our surprise they had charged us an additonal 10 miles! Thats $12.90 for mileage we didn't put on the truck! I read through the rest of the receipt and found an additional charge of $43.13 for gas! Now thankfully my husband and I are very meticulous and had taken a picture with our cellphones to show what the mileage and gas was when we dropped off the vehicle. I called the store and explained what had happened, and they told me I had to come in to the store. Once at the store I got a runaround about how they could refund the gas charge since that was an error on their part, but that I had no way of proving the mileage was a false charge. They told me according to their computers they had the correct mileage. Well after some going back and forth between me and the worker, and me mentioning that I had a photo proving the mileage that was on the truck, I finally got my money back.



So renter beware, check the mileage and gas levels before you leave with the truck, and keep record and proof of how many miles you drive, and how much gas you drop the truck off with, because these guys may be trying to make a quick dollar off you as well!!!
