Have to give these guys a crap review. I have an electric furnace blowing cold air. I called Cooney as they are the original installer of my furnace.

The technician that showed up claimed there was nothing wrong with my furnace. Technician also claimed that my furnace was a bit small for my three bedroom ranch, although it has been working fine for years.

Miraculously when he put the unit back together it was blowing warm air again, so I paid the service fee just happy to have it blowing warm air when its winter.

It blew nice warm air for roughly two weeks and is now back to blowing cold again.

I called Cooney again, and they just don't want to stand by their work and want to charge me full price including overtime due to it being weekend.

I mean all they had to do was throw me a bone and offer some sort of discount figuring I already paid them $200+ for two hours of work the last time they were here.

Dishonest Company

Horrible experience with a simple boiler repair. We were quoted between $300 and $500 for repair of our boiler. Then we got a bill...$954.00 At no point did the technician ask or tell us that we were going to be at all over his initial quote.
We also had Cooney give us a quote for replacing the boiler. Their quote was far more expensive than the other 2 well known companies that provided estimates for us.
We filed a Better Business Bureau compliant, in which one of the owners of Cooney came back with all lies. He said we were quoted between $500 and $700, which is not true. He also said that we had never done any previous maintenance on the boiler, which is not true. It has been cleaned/serviced every year.
Supposedly I had verbally authorized overtime rate during a recorded conversation, however Cooney is unable to produce a copy of this recording so obviously another lie.
Don't recommend them to your worst enemy!

This a professional organization w/ qualified people. - Our 2 CO detectors went off Sunday night. I called the emergency number, left my info. w/ them and a technition called me back within 10 minutes. He explained the rates, then we decided to have him come right over. He determined the problem . We decided to turn off the furnace and have it repaired the next day during business hours so we could save $$. The tech. arrived the next day. The furnace was cleaned , flue pipes inspected and repaired and a potentially dangerous condition was corrected. The charges were fair for the work performed. If you have a heating problem - CALL THEM.

Horrible experience. Placed service call, tech quoted us what it would cost, then bill ends up being double that. Don't call them.

My furnace was not working and these guys came out and fixed it fast and cheap. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their heating or air conditioning fixed.

Horrible experience. Placed service call, tech quoted us what it would cost, then bill ends up being double that. Charged us service hours for time to go and get space heaters for us to use, even though they verbally said no charge for them. Total rip off. Still trying to get them to bring bill down or likely we just won't pay and let a judge sort it out. Pretty sure we will win. Don't call them. I had to give one star to save, but really want to give negative 5.

I can update the earlier review about "great installation".It would seem that the issues are finally resolved and the system working normally. I might guess that each (or at least some) service techs had not really looked at the full prior history of repairs, but no way to know. In fairness, a person who may have been a manager called and I have not seen a bill for the final repair. As such, I will revise my rating. My advice, if you use them and have a service issue that takes more than one visit, is just to speak to someone who will follow the issue and who you can get back to specifically. I think they can do a solid job but don't get lost in the shuffle. If the services were one shot deals I would have been able to give a five. The costs for the unsuccessful repairs and the number of visits should be a three. Since I think my experience is likely an exception, four stars

Great installation. Major service nightmare ever since we had them move AC condenser for landscaping. 3 service visits for three consecutive seasons, each time telling them there was a coolant leak and being told that was wrong, we had done something wrong the first two services. Finally had to take a photo of the leak and got it fixed. Later same summer had fan failing intermittently. Told repair guy this. Again we are told it's our fault because we have some register vents closed that shut it down. $100 bucks for them time and blame. That night, with every vent open it fails again and we wait several days for someone to come out and confirm fan failure. Part covered, another labor charge. They told my wife our house wiring may have voltage fluctuations harming the motor (although apparently not for the first eight years). Now one day later condensate is spilling out of the condenser and into motor electronics. Wonder whether that's worse.
