If anyone is looking for a property management company, I highly suggest choosing anyone other than The Highlander Group. They do not complete any project properly. We recently had a new roof installed which continues to leak. We supposedly just had all the exterior window of the building cleaned, even though you can clearly see that they weren't. Everyone in the building has been complaining. One resident who complained got an email back from our property manager stating "all I saw when I was onsite was nice clean windows". Clearly she was never here or has vision problems.

Anything that the Highlander Group has done is not done satisfactory. They never follow up with the companies or hold anyone to their warranties. They pay for the same stuff to get done over and over. They really have no idea what they are doing when it comes to managing enclosed residential buildings. They may do ok with attached and detached condominiums, but definitely not with enclosed buildings.

There is absolutely no communication from Highlander Group unless its late or after the fact. Our parking garage was getting cleaned and we were told two (2) hours in advance that our cars needed to be removed from the garage. Most of the people were already at work by then. Then we had the garage parking spots repainted and again weren't told until just a couple hours ahead of time that the cars needed to be moved out of the garage. And once again most of the residents were already at work. Since we are in Downtown Detroit many of the residents walk to work or take the light rail, leaving their cars at home.

Please take this as a warning to anyone who is looking for a management company for an enclosed building.... Stay away from The Highlander Group and find yourself a reputable company that specializes in enclosed buildings.

The Highlander Group has caused me so much stress with their crappy management that I can't stand living here anymore.
