Banner Up Signs was founded in 1986 by Ed Kuhn. The store was located in Geneva, Illinois. Originally starting as a producer of paper banners, the business quickly grew to include vinyl graphics. By the mid 90's the business had established itself through great customer service and quality products. In 1996, a second location was opened up in Ed's home town of Sycamore, Illinois. The new facility could accommodate a better production work flow and for the first time in 10 years, the ability to install vinyl on vehicles inside. Both locations saw an increase in production and over the years more equipment was added. In 2003, the Geneva location which was no longer efficient for production, was closed and Sycamore become the only physical location of Banner Up Signs.
