Provided by YP.comOverpriced and bland food. Ok if you light your spices to be soy sauce. Couldn't tell the steak from the seafood. Terrible service to. Rude waiters and the Hibachi chef was dull. Great advertising is where this establishment puts it's money. Once your in the door your pockets are picked. Better off going to McDonalds for a filet of fish sandwich . There at least you get your monies worth. Wish I could rate it with a negative number. Save your money and don't waste your time.

Provided by YP.comThe sushi was out of this world. Some coworkers and I hit up Desaki after work on Friday and had a blast! Highly recommended.

Provided by YP.comWow on the Samurai Roll which was the special of the evening. Hope it shows up on the menu as a permanent mouth enticing choice. Enjoyed another fantastic night at Desaki. Love the atmosphere and the warm, friendly staff.

Provided by YP.comDesaki has so much to offer. I went with my girlfriend to dinner here the other night, and after, we took our full stomachs to the dance floor. EXCELLENT choice; It was a great time all around, from the food to the night life.

Provided by YP.comThis was my second time back to Desaki and I was not disappointed. The building is beautiful, the staff friendly and the food was excellent. They even had a magician who made balloon sculptures and family dancing. Next visit to the Poconos I will be eating here again.

Provided by YP.comWe just returned for a trip to the Poconos and Desaki was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. They provided a free shuttle from our hotel which was really nice. We were able to have drinks and not worry about driving. While I agree with other reviewers, this place is pretty pricey, the food is excellent. Also, the show that the chef puts on is fantastic and definitely not tacky like others have said. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back when we are in the Poconos again.

Provided by YP.comWe just recently moved to the area from Denver and decided to try Desaki. My family and I love to eat out and we're always looking for something new and different. Well, we found it here. The building is an architectural marvel, just beautiful. With the fire and flashing lights (not to mention a disco ball)it's sensory overload in the best way. We went on a Saturday and had a small wait, which was no problem as there was a magician making balloon sculptures, the kids (and my wife) loved it. We were seated with another family, which was nice as we love to meet new people. The server was very funny and attentive, as was the chef (Mickey Blue Eyes). The food was plentiful and very good. (We have been to many hibachis and sometimes the food is bland.) Desaki is one of a kind, and we will most certainly be back.

Provided by YP.comThe building is beautiful, and gave a great first impression.
Sushi is my weakness, so we opted for sushi and cocktails. The server was very knowledgeable, which was refreshing. We told her what we liked and she had some great suggestions.
I've had a lot of Sushi all over the world and this was definately some of the best. The fish was fresh and the presentation was outstanding. The pricing was a bit on the high side, but considering they are in the middle of the mountains, this is certainly understandable.
Great atmosphere, great service, great sushi, great time.

Provided by YP.comTook our family of four to Desaki in July 2010. Should have taken a hint from the fact that they refused to give us water for free; we were told that the restaurant only served bottle water. Never heard that before. We ordered green tea, and the tiny pot was only half full. The sushi was thoroughly mediocre, yet the prices they charged were comparable to the finest sushi restaurants in Manhattan. I don't understand how they can get away with these prices; I assume they are taking advantage of tourists who will never return.
