I come to the beach about 1 to 3 times a year for 5 to 14 days. I always make a bead shop run. I have always bought most all of my seed beads from Moonstone beads. For the last 3 years, I have not found the warm friendly feeling I use to get when i walked through the door, I think they changed owners or something. Last year I went in, not even a hello. I shopped for my beads, while the owner CJ talked to a friend of hers that was in the store. (not making a purchase) She never once ask if I needed help finding something. I found my items and took them to the checkout and waited and waited until they were done talking. She finally came and rang me up painstakingly slow.$164.00 checkout. I left frustrated at the service. I went back this year 2016. I walked in the door, no hello. no nothing. I went about my business looking for my beads, got them all together, then looked for some copper bead caps and cones, the three that were out were way too large, so I waited and waited for her to finish with a customer( about 15 minutes),so I gently interrupted them and ask about the caps, she said I will be with you in a moment, let me finish with this customer. I said ok and wandered around the store for another 10 to 15 minutes as she and this customer talked about everything under the sun. I got agitated, looked at my husband and said I am ready to go. I layed all the items in my hands on the table and said, lets go. We left and I will NOT go back. I am disappointed because they have such a wonderful selection of seed beads and speciality beads. I will have to find another shop/ supplier now. I spend about $300.00 a year on just seed beads and I bought 90% of them from this store. She was actually RUDE in my opinion.

This store is AWESOME!! If your in Surfside Beach SC or even in Myrtle Beach visiting this store is a must see. Especially if your looking to take up a new hobby. Very friendly owner(s)/Staff and some of the prettiest beads you will ever see! And CJ will even give you a beginners Basics class for FREE, all you have to do is buy your materials, have a seat and relax. It is so much fun. One visit and your hooked. I know I was, so get your behind to Surfside beach ladies and have some relaxing fun!!!
