This man's company came recommended by my best friend's husband, so I wanted to overlook the beginning troubles. Franco Urbano, the owner came to see what was needed, and we had several things to do. He said he would get us an estimate, but after 5 days no estimate. We called and also emailed, and he said he sent it to both my husband and my own, and maybe he had the wrong email? We gave it to him again, it took 3 more days. He owns a rain gutter company and talked us into doing that too. We still trusted the judgement of my friend, so we went ahead. He was exactly on time to collect the first half.

His crew came, and put up the rain gutters before they fixed the rotten wood in the facia, so clearly one side was failing to communicate with the other. The gutter guy had to take the gutter back down. They fixed the wood and continued with the rain gutters after. They installed a door on the inside, and put a wood frame, but they acted very unhappy when I asked them to stain the raw wood so that it matched the rest of our wood inside.

They also contracted to fill and finish some wood beams that had previous damage, which they did. I then paid the second half, while the man was finishing the beam work. He was supposed to sand the putty fill on 3 beams, but only did it on 2, and they left the beams with the off white putty on dark beams and unsanded. The man sneaked away and left before I could check the work. They also left some of the indoor stain on the white wall, and the door that they hung needed an adjustment on a hinge. Mr Urbano is not returning calls made by me, my husband, and our friend, because he has been paid. Customer service means nothing to him. I would never recommend him to anyone, instead I would say RUN!

For sure your work won't be warranteed.

Had my entire house re-floored and they did a fantastic job. Pricing was very good as well.

I also had my office redone (floors, drywall, and other things) and they also did a perfect job.

I am now doing some more remodeling in my house and found this page for comments, and I couldn't believe the negative reviews... However, I plan to use them again since I have double positive experience with them so far. I do sincerely recommend them.

Edgar Urbano, president of Urbano Enterprises made an appointment with my husband, his nephew and a potential client to all meet together to talk about a screening job. There sat my husband, his nephew and the client all waiting for a representative to show up. My husband called Edgar who assured that someone by the name of Franco would show up. Not only did he not show up there wasn't even a telephone call. Needless to say, stay away from these people. They will waste your time. Not at all professional.

Job well done!

I have contracted them for several jobs including roofing, bathroom remodeling, and the latest was interior painting of the entire house as well as crown molding in family/kitchen room. One of the main reasons I like this company is because of how punctual and quick they are with their service. They show up bright and early...and will bring in as many workers as it takes to finish the job quickly, which is extremely important when you are living in the house with kids. You want them done fast. However their speed does not compromise their quality of work. I am very happy with their jobs, especially with the last one. My house looks beautiful inside. The paint job was done very professionally with attention to detail. I feel like they truly take pride in their work...which to me is very important. I was surprised to see the first review written so negatively. I'm assuming that that is the exception to the rule.

unimpressed

I do not even know where to begin with these guys. They will claim experience with anything that you asked about, but will do very low quality work. I had them install a closet and redo a bathroom because they said that they could do the job. They badly handled the fixtures for the shower, scarring the chrome finish. They installed a bathroom light, which they insisted was made crooked -- I fixed it by adjusting a set-screw. A simple repair that anyone would have been able to do if they looked at the fixture for any amount of time. When they had problems installing the shower fixture they actually wanted to move the hot water tank in the garage and come at the problem through the garage wall! Whoa! Look out if you use them. They left cracked tiles on the wall because they did not adapt the water lines for a pedestal sink and had to remove some tiles, but left one cracked. The caulking at the base of the sink and toilet looked like a drunken sailor applied it (apologies to all drunken sailors on shore leave!). They did not properly install anchors in the tile, which led to loose soap dishes, vertical shower bars and toiletpaper holders. I redid all of that, so no big deal. When I told them about these issues, I never received a call nor did Sr. Urbano come to take a look at the issues that I had. He was more concerned with getting to my upstairs bathroom. No way was I going to let him crew at another bathroom since I was concerned that they would make a mess, cause leaks and do improper work. The closet they installed had a hanging shelf that they only secured by anchors through drywall. Of course, when we put coats on the rack it tore out of the wall. The did not install a simple stud to adhere the drywall in a corner of the closet, so it is loose. Luckily, this is a closet. I repaired the rack by locating two studs about 1/2" from the holes the they made in the drywall. No big deal, but a hassle to have to repair their handiwork. Maybe they are capable of quality work, but I could not tell you what it might be.
