Don’t bring your pet here!! My 18 month old cat had a urethra blockage. I brought him to the Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic at 9:30 am. After repeated calls during the day, I was told “they were very busy” he hadn’t gone to the bathroom and that I could pick him up at 4:00 pm. They sent him home, after aspirating a small urine specimen with the instructions to “GIVE HIM MORE WATER”. No pain pills. No “Call me in the morning”. My baby suffered all night and had to be rushed to a vet hospital, where I was told, he could have died. After proper treatment and 2 days stay in that hospital. He is fine,… NO THANKS TO OAKBROOK VETERINARY CLINIC. Their treatment would have KILLED MY CAT! DON’T GO THERE!!!

I was new to the area and was using one vet that took repeat visits to treat the same thing. I.didn't think they completely listened to me. I tried Oakbrook(a friends referral). Lucy got to see Dr Benton who ran a heartworm test that came back negative. He was concerned she had a heart problem so he referred me to a specialist who was ready to take her right away. They found her problem which wasn't good but at least I know what to expect. Just wonderfully caring people!!

Just because you have a vet close by your residence; it's not always the best one to use. I did this for several years with several different pets. I found Dr. Gamble through a friend at work who raved about him. I went to the Oakbrook Vet Clinic for the first time last year and was truly impressed not only by Dr Gamble but everyone I came in contact with. They were compassionate, friendly and above all knowledgeable. The took care of my dog the way I take care of my dog (like family). The extra time spent explaining everything that was done and why was worth the extra time and miles to visit them. I highly recommend the Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic to anyone that truly cares for their pets and is not just going through the motions of getting their yearly "Stuff" done. Thanks Dr Gamble I appreciate the work done by you and your staff.

We have been using Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic for several years since moving to the Summerville area and can't rave enough over the wonderful care and service we receive at each and every scheduled or emergency appointment.

We currently have 5 cats and the care they receive by Dr. Gamble, Dr. Benton and their staff is top notch. I never feel rushed and they always make our pets feel important. I recommend them highly!

I've been reading the other reviews and had to voice my opinion. I've been going to this vet for over 10 years and I've never been less than satisfied. in the event of an emergency they been able to get me in that day. I've never been to a place that truly cares for you and your pets needs. they are like family my 2 Rottweilers and pit bull are like are like my children and I wouldn't trust anybody else with their care

I have taken my pets to the Oakbrook Vet for many years. From the beginning as puppies and kittens until the end. My oldest girl (dog) saw Dr Gamble and his staff for 16 1/2 years. They were always kind and professional...compassionate until the end. I am grateful to have found them.

I have used Oakbrook Veterinary Clinic for years. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Cassandra works really hard to make us feel welcome and to answer our questions. I have seen both Dr. Gamble and Dr. Benton. They have taken really good care of both of my pets( the routine check ups and the surgeries). I really like it that they spend time answering the questions that my kids may ask. A very friendly place!

Been using Oakbrook Vet Clinic for years and have always gotten in to see Dr Gamble when we needed. The receptionists and vet techs love the dogs and do a great job in keeping them calm and comfortable. Definitely a busy office. Summerville has grown and so therefore pet population has grown so they stay swamped but are always pleasant to work with. I appreciate their ability to work us in when my dog gets her alergy shots. We've known Dr. Gamble for 20 years and has been our vet during that time for all our pets.

I have two dogs and am very grateful for a wonderful vet nearby.
