Founded in 1970, The Pruden Center for Industry and Technology is a regional public school that serves Isle of Wight County and Suffolk City schools in Suffolk, Va. The center provides career and technical education to high school students. It offers a range of technical courses, including automotive technology, cabinet making, cosmetology, culinary arts, and electronics and computer science with robotics. The Pruden Center for Industry and Technology also offers courses in various subjects, such as welding, graphic arts and machine trades. It conducts classes in engineering and design, health science, theater arts and visual arts. In addition, the school also offers nursing programs that provide students with clinical experience in specialty areas, including maternal and child care, mental health and emergency nursing.
