Ummmmm

Really Not worth the dollar amount you have to spend. There are far better choices in the area.

Not much really better or new after refurbish

I have been coming to this Benihana for 25 years. Recently they closed for a while to do some fixing up, so I went back to check it out. They repaved the parking lot which was a big improvement, although it still has the same old one way in and out. Possibly the inside looked a little cleaner but could not pinpoint why. There is really very little in this restaurant that is Japanese, including the staff. Maybe it is required by the franchise but over the years the cooks have done little to change their act or table methods. So after you go to BH a few times it gets old. Fun for kids, probably. The prices are way too high for what they serve.

They used to start your experience with handing out hot wet hand towels, but no more. I don't know why they insist on doing a really messy, dirty, steamy grill cleanup right in front of you as you have desert. Poor way to finish. It is easy to spend $30-$40 per head there, probably can do better elsewhere without all the noise and crowded seating.

The setting is still nice, overlooking the river, and the grounds have been manicured a bit. The food is in general decent, but nothing special if you filter out the showmanship. I rate this between 2 - 3 stars, ended up with 2 because I expected better, and the last memory was that yucky grill cleanup..
