I have never written a review before but after speaking with, planning and meeting the owner of PoconoDayTripper.com, I had to make an exception!



I was looking to go on a 1 day ski trip close to Long Island and NYC. A friend recommended Shawnee Mountain. When I looked into it, I stumbled across poconodaytripper.com. I had a few questions after looking at the site, made a phone call and was called back immediately by the owner, Peter. He is a genuine guy and truly wants every one of his customers to be fully satisfied. Planning and organizing was as simple as a paypal payment, an email and a confirmation text.



The day of the trip was simple, easy and stress free. We got on a bus from the Port Authority in NYC, and rode the bus for about 80 minutes to the Delaware Water Gap bus terminal. Peter was there waiting for us. He drove us 10 minutes to the mountain, checked us in, got us set up with everything that we needed and told us to have a great day. And we did! Shawnee mountain is great for all levels (especially if you are a beginner like me). There are many return buses to NYC and all you have to do is text Peter and he will meet you at the mountain and bring you back to the bus terminal. If you are looking for a day trip for skiing, I highly recommend poconodaytripper.com because of the quality of customer service, the easy of the trip and mostly because Peter is such a trustworthy and honest guy!

I seldom write reviews but this time I think I should. All the incentive comes from my experience of the recent trip. What I want to say here is, Peter the co-owner as he told me, is a decent and trustworthy guy. My daughter wanted to go to Camel beach water park so I googled and found this website providing day trip services to Pocono mountain attractions. I read the pages and was happy with the description about the trip except one thing: the bus leaves at 8am, which is too early for my little son only 2 year old. So I made a try to call the company to see if there was any chance that they might have other later buses. Actually at that time I didn't have too much hope. But to my surprise, Peter, the guy I reached on the phone said they did have flexible schedules, especially on weekends which met our planned date. Our family was overjoyed by this news. And that was the beginning of my satisfactory trip. This guy is very familiar with his business area and he told me a lot, more than completed, about the water park, which match ALL the details, even the tiniest one, of what is said on the homepage of the park (I'm a person who likes to do a complete research before my trip). In fact I shouldn't have wasted my time on the research if I knew he is so good at his business. As he promised, he greeted us at the gate of the park and put the all tickets in my hands. He looked just as warm as in the phone. The other impressive thing happened on our way back to NYC. I didn't know on that day there was a big event of indy car racing at Pocono Raceway and it was totally jammed on I-80. I felt very anxious and was deeply worried about my little son because it looked like we might be stuck there for hours. But the driver showed awesome ability here. He went off the highway onto locals, which usually could only consume more time than sticking to the highway, as to my most experiences. The driver maneuvered through the labyrinth locals with stunning familiarity and only 20 minutes later we were back onto I-80 again surpassing all the stuck part. While back to NYC we were only less than 10 minutes off the scheduled time! Moreover, Later I received a email saying sorry about the lateness due to the Racing event! Totally, I really wanted to say thankssssssssss to the whole team of Peter. You just get the feeling of being taken care of, and you know everything will be set with this guy!
