Sunnyside Union Elementary School has an enrollment of approximately 400 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers classes in math, science, English, language arts, social studies and physical education. It provides several sports activities, including football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, and track and field. Sunnyside Union Elementary School organizes several parent conferences, winter concerts, fall carnivals, spelling bee competitions, science fairs and flower shows. The school offers migrant, psychological, family, health, child protective, and drug, tobacco and alcohol prevention services. It also provides special education programs. Sunnyside Union Elementary School has a library that stocks a variety of storybooks, encyclopedias, textbooks, dictionaries, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school is governed by the Sunnyside Union School District.
