I had engineered hard wood floors installed throughout my whole home except my stairs (carpeted). I contacted the Floor Store of Virginia and spoke with Bob. Within a day I had my hardwood floors and carpet picked out, Bob came out to my home personally and measured. Materials were ordered, delivered and installed one week later. The installers were professional and courteous, The staff at the Floor Store are extremely knowledgeable, professional and polite. They answered all of my "many" questions, were always available via in person, phone or email. I would highly recommend the Floor Store of Virginia!

UPDATE!!!!!!

We started our first review with 5 stars but now believe they are in the negative. Customer service for this company is horrible. Our wood floors has tons of gaps. (Some of them you can place quarters I between the boards). Installers used a ton of putty to cover up bad install job which is coming out in huge pieces. We have allowed the company , the wood distributor and Armstrong floors all to come out and evaluate the floor. They have even said it it a humidity issue but the other hard wood floor, that was installed over 3-4 years ago have none of the problems our brand new floor has. So far a mess of excuses and no solutions. We have been dealing with this for the last 5 months. If and when this issue is resolved we will update again.

We just had our floors completed by The Floor Store in Sterling, Va. We are so thankful we have friends that recommended them to us. What a professional company from start to finish. Bob arrived at our house to do the estimate, we accepted it and less then a week later our new floors were installed in 2 days! We had new hardwood installed in our foyer, formal living room, formal dining room, office, and bathroom. We had 2 installers that were exceptional. They were on time each day, professional and courteous. They moved very large and heavy furniture, took out the bathroom sink and toilet, ripped up old hardwood and ceramic tile, and we never had a huge mess, a ton of dust or any damage to our house. Bob even stopped by both days to check on us and make sure all was going well-that’s what I call customer service. We just completed a full master bathroom remodel and the project manager never stopped by or called, even if we had an issue-what a difference working with a proficient company. We will be using this company for all of our flooring needs in the future and would highly recommend them.

Really mixed experience. Had my first floor carpeted and it was an outstanding experience. Two brothers came and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Everything looked great. I was so happy, I bought more carpet to do the upstairs. This turned out to be a much different experience. One older gentleman came to do the entire job alone! He had no help and was here till after 10pm, and still had to come back the next day. Honestly, he did not do a good job. The carpet was not tight and he cut around disconnected baseboard heaters instead of pulling the carpet under them to meet the wall. Eventually, the Floor Store made good and sent out another crew to fix the work, but that took weeks.

I wil say, the price was very competitive and I'm happy with that. The carpet did not wear as well as I was told to expect though. I was told the fuzzing was to be expected, traffic wear on the steps, in the first several months, was normal, etc.... They really did not live up to their warranty promises.

I just purchased a short sale house in a very big need of new floors. I had a budget and they were able to make everything work with in that. I got new Hardwood in my foyer, family room, living room, and dining room. New carpet in my 3 bedrooms, hall and steps. New tile in my kitchen and an area rug to go in the family room. They were so helpful and even let us check samples out. I highly recommend The Floor Store in Sterling.‎

I find it hard to enjoy my beautiful carpet due to the disaster that took place having it installed. The workman showed up with no help at 9am. Removed our screens (broke 2) from our windows and front door to get the carpet in. Was still in our house at 10:00pm at night while my husband, my 3 year old and myself drove around looking for something to do until the work was finished. Verbally and physically assaulted by the workman when we asked him to leave our property. The job was left unfinished and another workman had to return weeks later to finish. After asking the owner for a discount for the horrible way we were treated from her workman and the length of time we went with unfinished carpet she gave us a $70.00 discount and still has not fixed our broken screen 6 weeks later.
