Cheaper to buy a new machine. Took my Brother sewing machine in for a cleaning and repair. It cost almost $100 and we were never called prior to repair, with an estimate. I could have bought a new machine for the cost.

I took my Dyson in for a "free" estimate because the suction wasn't working very well. After waiting a WEEK to hear back from them, I finally called. The woman I spoke to was SO rude and said she tried calling me a few days back. I checked my phone... no missed calls or voicemails from them. She said it was ready and I could come pick it up. When I got there, they had already done the repairs and charged over $40 without telling me A) What was wrong with it or B) asking if it was okay that they made the repair. All they did was clean the brush and filter. I could have done that myself! The woman I spoke to when I went in just sat there, eating her lunch and acted like I was bothering her. Extremely unprofessional. They should have CALLED and asked if I wanted them to clean it or if was okay to proceed. To just go ahead and charge for something that I could have done myself and rude customer service to boot makes this place a terrible business.
