I bought a 3 dresser drawer from this manufacturer from overstock. One of the pieces was broken and instead of going through overstock, I went through the manufacturer for the replacement piece. The instruction manual suggested that we go directly through the manufacturer rather than retailer. Firstly, the call center is grossly understaffed as it took me 20 mins to get through to someone. Despite giving them the correct model number and piece number, the piece arrived a week later and it was the completely wrong piece for a different furniture.

When I wrote to them to get a replacement piece and attached pictures of the correct piece and incorrect piece, they said it would take 3-5 business days (they wouldn't even expedite it due to their own mistake). 9 days later, the piece still hasn't arrived. When I contacted them again, they said the piece will go out that day b/c the Fedex machine was down and they couldn't issue a fed ex number. Well the fedex number they gave me was one from delivery made 9 days prior!!!

I've been sitting on the phone now for the past 20 mins trying to get someone to help me get the right piece. I'm tempted to cancel the order from overstock and get my money back b/c the customer service with Homestar is horrendous. Don't buy anything from them. Heaven forbid you need any type of customer service.

I should have expected exactly what I got . I ordered a "cheap kid's three drawer dresser" .It came with several small damage/imperfections in the finish . The manual said I could "repair" them with a color stick or a crayon !
The entire back panel was missing . I said the hell with it and went to Lowes and bought a piece of leuan and made a back panel for it my self . $ 11.00 more out of my pocket added to the $ 77.70 I bought 95 % of it for . Just was not worth the "back and forth" I would have had to endure to get the missing piece and needed to use it immediately . Just seems that "Quality Control" means zero to most ( not all ) Chinese company's . Don't be fooled by the fact that Homestar's furniture is sold by "Target" on their web site and the address in Statesville North Carolina . It is made in China cheap stuff . It will suffice for my purposes for the short time I will need it .
