Brought our boat in for an estimate. After waiting several days and driving by several times to see if it had been moved, we decided to check in and remind them that we were still waiting for our quote. get the guy on the phone who tells us that he has "torn apart our seats and parts of the engine, looking at $3000-$4000." keep in mind, we already knew that the impellor was out ($60 part) - nothing else needed to be repaired at that time as far as we were concerned. Not only did we never authorize ANY work to be done, but now the guy wants to charge us for his labor (nothing had been fixed) $450 for a quote and to put everything back together - doesn't quite sound fair. We only asked for a quote/estimate.
Seals have been broken on items that did not need to be repaired
Shame on this guy!!
rule #1 - never do work unless authorized
rules #2 - disclose evaluation fee's upfront not after customer refuses repairs

$450 check will be disputed and incident will be reported to BBB!!!!

Buyer Beware - can't trust everyone !
