Don't waste your time or money

I had 4 different dog trainers come to my home to help me with potty training and basic obedience for my 8 month old puppy. He is under 10 pounds, has been socialized, but refuses to go to the bathroom outside. Adaptive Dog Training was one of the first to respond to me. He came and was fairly pushy from the start. He claims that he was taking my lead, but as a trainer, I am following your advice. He wanted to put a choke chain on my dog. That really bothered me. It could easily crush the dogs throat and in the trainer's contract he would not be liable for it at all. Needless to say, I was immediately unsatisfied with him. I slept on it. I then called him and he made me feel like my bad feelings about him were completely my fault. I had to call again to cancel. Since then, he has not responded to any of my calls. He refuses to send any money back, and is being unprofessional about finding a solution to our problem. There are many trainers out there that are half the price and way better with communicating than this company is. I recommend that you save your money and deal with a professional that will handle any problems that arise. Pick someone that you don't have to feel uneasy about. This person is going to be in your home with an animal you obviously love, don't both with Adaptive Dog training. He's just not worth your time or money.
