Don't Recommend It

My husband and I took our 4 & 5 year old sons there recently. My husband said that as soon as he walked in he got the 'heebie jeebies'. I have to admit, it looks like it was built in the 1940s and never touched since. The whole place is unpaved, so after rain it's a mud pit. There's a small place for kids to mine for gold which my boys liked, but the 'petting zoo' was a muddy smelly barn with a few animals in a pens that really couldn't be petted unless they decided to come over to the fence. There were shows going on along the main street every 15 minutes, and although the roping demonstration was interesting, the rest were badly acted skits by bored actors played over a 30 year old sound system. The main street housed old time buildings that were either cheap souvenir shops, snack shops, or had been made to be like a museum (but very old and dirty!). There is also a saloon hall with awful, overpriced food. If you can't already tell, I would not recommend this place!
