Bought a 2021 top of the line $45K Santa Fe Calligraphy three months ago from this dealership and it has had a rattle in the dash from day one, then it developed an oil leak about a week ago. They refused to fix the problem with the rattle in the dash and then told me they would not allow me to bring this brand new car back to them for warranty work in the future, because I got angry as a result of their incompetence. I readily admit that I used the F-bomb once, because they had me so infuriated, but they refused to accept any responsibility for the part their utter incompetence played in provoking me to become so angry. These people are unprofessional, they are rude and I will never buy another car from that place again.

I called North Freeway Hyundai because they said they had a good BBB rating. I made an appointment for the next day to test-drive a Tucson they advertised online. Sadly, when I got there, they told me they had just sold it and offered to let me try a different vehicle. I don’t think this was an illegal bait-and-switch tactic because the salesman was nice and I don’t think he’d lie to me.

So I agreed to try a different vehicle, which was advertised for around $16000. I really liked the accent – it drove nicely, and having had an Accent in the past, I was impressed with the new one. The wife liked it too, so we sat down to negotiate. Three hours later, and numerous twenty-minute “wait here with your kids while I ask my manager” situations, this $16000 vehicle had ballooned into a $24000 vehicle! Those guys at North Freeway Hyundai really do work hard! I came to my senses and told the salesman it was about $9000 outside of our budget and asked why he didn’t consider the budget I told him we had. The salesman explained to me all the roadside assistance and other value I was getting for that extra $9000, and I am certain he would not lie to me, but I just couldn’t afford it and told him to keep me posted on any vehicles that came in that he thought I might like.

Then the salesman came to the rescue and offered a solution: an Elantra. I test drove it and found it was a great car and kind of within our budget. We got back to the dealership and I noticed some scratches on the bumper. I asked if they could take those out before they sold it to me and the salesman said it would be no problem but he had to ask his manager first. When he returned, he said they could do it but would have to pass the cost on to me: $700 for the rear bumper and $400 for the front bumper. The scratches, he said, was the reason the car was so cheap. I declined and decided to get some of that detail paint they sell at Wal-Mart. Seemed like a much more cost-effective deal. In my next career, I want to be a bumper painter – those guys make tons of money!

I also checked the spare tire, but the salesman told me they don’t come with a spare tire. Instead they come with an air pump to reinflate your punctured tire. Since I paid extra for the 100,000 mile warranty and roadside assistance, I figured we’d be okay and I could get a real spare for cheaper than the $300 the dealership wanted to charge me. I’m pretty sure the salesman was telling the truth when he said I’d be okay.

Long story short, I signed on the dotted line and got the car of my dreams(?) almost 6 hours after setting foot at the dealership. Even though when I later checked the blue book retailer value and found it just over $9000 and I paid $16,000, I think the salesman was a very nice man and worked very hard to give me a good deal.

They didn’t give me enough gas to get home, but that was okay because I had my AmEx card on me and was able to get gas at the gas station down the street. One regret I have is not checking the windshield wipers first – I used them a few days later and found out the blades were defective. I mean, I paid an extra $700 for a 125-point inspection, and I assume new wiper blades would come with that. Yeah, they must have been defective and not old.

Lots of lessons learned in this experience. I am beginning to wonder, however, if that salesman was always telling the truth.

I came by North Freeway Hyundai to see their new Santa Fe's. I was greeted by a really nice sales person named Dave Harvey. He was very knowledgeable and listen to what my needs were for a new car. He recommended the Santa Fe which I was already shopping and also a Tucson. I just came in for a quick test drive but I was so pleased with the customer service and the way I was treated that I wanted to leave a positive review for them. Thank you Dave for allowing me to go on the test drive with no pressure and for being super professional. I recommend going to go see Dave Harvey. Thanks!

I came by North Freeway to look for my next car. While I was there I got to test drive the 2015 Genesis which is pretty sick. They have a great selection and some pretty cool classic cars.

I just bought a pretty sweet black on black Genesis Coupe from North Freeway Hyundai. This car is dope! I traded in my mustang and they got me a great deal on this coupe. The financing was a little rocky but we made it work. Thanks putting in the extra effort and making the deal happen.

I have been looking for a new gas efficient car for some time now. I finally bought a new Hyundai Elantra from North Freeway's Internet Manager, Dave Harvey. He was great! I never felt pressured to buy and was well informed of all the car features and discounts. Thanks Dave for getting me out of my old truck and into a new Hyundai! I highly recommend you to anyone who wants a good car buying experience.

Bob Murphy was great! Answered all questions and had great communication prior, during and after the sale. The transaction was quick and relatively painless. This is my second vehicle from North Freeway Hyundai and will not be the last. I have no problems in referring any of my friends or relatives to this dealership. Thanks again for the great buying experience.

I feel it is important to do research on a purchase as big as a car or truck. I visited quite a few different dealerships including North Freeway Hyundai. Even though I did not purchase my vehicle from this dealer I do feel that they were in for a close race to being the dealer I almost purchased from. I felt that a good review would be good just let people know that when I did go in for a test drive they treated me very friendly and were patient with me. I asked a bunch of questions since I do like to do my research and not once did I feel like they rushed or pressured me into purchasing one of their vehicles. Thank you for allowing me to take my time and being different.

I had a really great buying experience at North Freeway Hyundai. I was able to get into a 2006 Saleen Mustang for a steal! I worked with Jeff Bogle another muscle car fan and he helped me get into this pretty cool ride. Thanks Jeff

This place was really nice! I really enjoyed the treatment of the sales person who was helping me. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for honest hard working sales people. I didn't know anything about buying a car and they helped me understand everything before my purchase.

I didn't buy from this place but I wanted to give them a good review since they did treat me fairly and were pretty informative. The dealer I did buy from had a little better pricing on the exact model I wanted but If this dealer would have been my next choice. The internet guy was nice and didn't pressure me into any off deal or anything. I felt pretty comfortable and I think others will too.

We bought our new Hyundai Sonata from this dealership. We did our research online and found the Sonata we wanted with all the features in a few different places but North Freeway was closer and had the same price as the other dealerships. The internet guy David was pretty cool. He gave us the run down on the whole process and helped us get a pretty good price on my trade-in.

I didn't end up buying a car f...

I didn't end up buying a car from this dealership but they were pretty nice and I feel that I would recommend them to my friends if they were looking for a car. They just didn't have the car I was looking for but the sales person was really nice and informative, the sales manager was polite and welcoming. The least I could do is give them a recommendation. Thank you for being professional.

If you want to get a great deal go to North Freeway Hyundai and talk to Hector Morfin. He gave me a really good deal on a Santa Fe for my family. He gave me a little bit more for my trade in and was able to get me a really good APR rate on my car loan. It felt like i was a person and not just a commission. Like at some other dealerships.

This is the first time I have bought a car on my own without someone else. I went to North Freeway Hyundai and spoke with Ray Funk. He was really friendly and helpful. He understood my needs and pricing concerns and put me in an awesome 2013 Hyundai Accent! It is Lime Green! I love it so much! It saves sooooo much gas! I recommend going to North Freeway Hyundai and talking with Ray Funk because he is really good and made me feel welcome and secure on my first car buy. Thank you Ray!

North Freeway Hyundai is a good place to go. They work with you to get you the right deal. I wanted to be at a certain amount every month for my monthly payment and they were able to make the numbers work even with the additional features I wanted on my 2013 Elantra Coupe. I am very pleased and recommend you buy from them if you need a new car. I will go back there when I need to get my second car. Thank you Patrick for helping me find the right car at the right price

Jason was very knowledgeable about Hyundai. He spent more than enough time with me to help me find the car that was just right for me and my family's needs. We found the car that we wanted and with the options that we wanted. He even helped us find out that we could get more options in a car than we thought we could afford.
