Just to let everyone know that Calderon Air Condition Service located on FM 1314 just south of Bennette Estates does not stand behind their work. We purchased two new AC systems from them 5 years ago and we were told that they had a 10-year warranty. He replaced an existing 5-ton unit and added a 3.5-ton unit for our kitchen area which has vaulted ceilings. We found that the 3.5-ton unit does not cool the area like we need. We complained and Chucko Calderon said that 3.5 tons is more than enough, but we told him it's not keeping the area cool, so he sold us a electrostatic filter. We found that that didn't help. We complained so he sold us an upgraded air handler. It still didn't cool the area. He told us there is nothing more he could do. Then we had water dripping through the ceiling below the inside unit and found out that there was never a drain line installed for over flow pan. When I contacted him about it he told me that it had a high water shut off, so it wouldn't overflow so the shut off must have gone bad. He wanted to charge me for a new shut off and he said that the ceiling damage wasn't his responsibility. Then when the compress went out on the 5-ton unit we were told that it wasn't under warranty and he charged us $1500 to replace the compressor and told me that it had a 1-year warranty. After the replacement when the compressor kicked on it would dim the lights in the house. We complained, and he told us that it was an electrical problem and there was nothing that he could do so I called another AC guy who found and replaced bad contacts on the AC unit. Now the Freon has leaked out only a month after they replaced the compressor and because I had someone else fix what Chucko said that he couldn't he will not warranty the compressor replacement. BE CAREFUL Chucko Calderon will sell you a bill of goods and not stand behind his work.
