We took our bulldog there, and I warned them many times, on the phone and when I dropped him off that he can't play for more than a few minutes, or he's ok not going into the play area at all if he can't be watched. I was assured they were familiar with bulldogs., (he has stayed at the downtown location 1 other time)Bulldogs have breathing problems when over exerted. Less than 2 hrs of dropping him off they called to say he was having problems breathing and they were taking him to the pet emergency. I immediately called pet emergency and they told me he was DOA. This is very raw for me as it just happened on Saturday and my dog was truly part of our family. I hope at the very least the caregivers will be much more observant and attentive to the dogs so this will never happen to anyone else, but I have a feeling that no one really cared except for 1 kid that looked pretty shook up. When we dropped him off it seemed very under staffed, we had to ring the bell, then 1 girl came up to get the dogs, take the instructions, and was taking phone calls. It's just such a unnecessary death of a happy, healthy 6 yr old bulldog. I'm truly broken hearted :(.

I just read that businesses can pay to take their reviews off of yelp??? I'm sure they will remove this, I'm not sure what good a review site is, when all the negative ones can just be removed. Anyway I'm really just trying to prevent this from happening to anyone else.



Edited You may note that they have given us a response by reviewing themselves a 5 Star. After our loss the only reason they called was because " Our reviews are making them look Bad" . Now they rate themselves a 5 star.



Take some responsibility for your mistakes. It breaks down to 1) they did not follow our multiple exact instructions 2) they lacked the training to rapidly respond to an issue that was caused by ignoring #1 and 3) while we got lucky in the past Hindsight and this way of dealing with the issue shows me they have not taking any ownership. The story they reflect in their rating of themselves is a variant on multiple versions of what was told to us.



You Must Add to your staff, train them to handle emergencies, and follow instructions (No excuses). For what its worth until I am confident they are willing to admit they can improve,DO NOT risk your Dogs well being.

I have recently taken my two dogs here to stay for 6 days and i must say i have never seen a better staff that loves dogs. My dogs came home happy and excited. I will be bringing them back for some daily socialization. Ty
