WATCH OUT --- I had to sue this business in small-claims court to make things right!

Although I initially had a very good relationship with Andrew Gibson, the owner of Gibson Performance (I even took him out for beers when his mechanic first started losing and breaking my car's parts), as soon as it came to compensating me for mistakes he formally acknowledged, signed, and agreed to pay me back for (mistakenly cut water and oil lines, damaged body work from lifting the car improperly, overcharges relayed to following improper procedures, ruined gaskets, lost and broken parts, specialist labor to correct his mistakes), he tried to change the one-year workmanship warranty he'd given me when I brought him the car to 90-days; because I refused to accept this, he has since refused to compensate me at all, and I've been forced to press legal charges against Gibson Performance for nearly $2000 dollars in damages he agreed in writing that he was responsible for. On top of this, Andrew also tried to charge me three times the highest published shop rates for an engine removal and reinstallation (he claimed the overcharge was accidentally made because he'd made the bill late at night), and he also tried to claim that a loud squealing from the completed engine I'd paid him to rebuild was from a faulty new part, only to have the car examined by a specialist who determined Gibson Performance had not followed correct assembly procedures (Andrew resultantly had to remove and reinstall the car's engine). He also left my car unlocked on his lot after warning me about vandals.
Andrew is very friendly initially, but watch out if anything goes wrong with his work; it has been my experience that he does not honor his word, and his mechanic (CJ) does not follow proper assembly procedures. The specialist mechanic that maintains my cars even stated that some of the component removal work looked like "a hack job" someone would do "in a junkyard"; his mechanic even incorrectly installed the car's head gasket! I wish I'd never taken my car to Gibson Performance, and would strongly dissuade anyone else from taking their projects there.

Update:
Thank you Spokane Valley District Court--- after submitting the exhaustive evidence I had of Gibson Performance's acknowledgment of their mistakes (and Andrew Gibson's attempts to avoid responsibility afterward), I won the case and will be compensated for my claim; Gibson Performance was also determined to be fully liable for all the filing costs involved in bring the case to court. While I deeply regret taking my car to Gibson Performance, I would advise anybody who either currently has or is planning to have their car worked on by Gibson Performance to obtain all agreements in writing--- you might need to prove what happened as I did.

Andrew and his crew come with my highest recommendations! Andrew is very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to explain the whole process to me. I would recommend Gibson Performance to anyone who is looking to get their motor rebuilt. Thanks again!
