Maple Lake Academy offers various academic and recreational activities for students with verbal and nonverbal learning differences. The school provides individual, group and family therapies. It offers assistance with the development of social, emotional and intellectual skills. Maple Lake Academy s special education classes focus on a range of deficits, including visual, perceptual, auditory processing, spatial awareness, conceptual, memory, work habits and psychological issues. The school also provides computer-based intervention programs that address specific learning strategies. In addition, it offers skill building exercises in reading, writing, math and computer. Maple Lake Academy is accredited by the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
