We are happy we picked ADMIRAL VAN LINES and Storage and would definitely use them again as they seem to be one of the better if not best moving companies around.
Admiral Moving and Storage blew us away with their hard work and efficiency. The movers were courteous, professional,
and knew what they were doing.
I had them come out and pack for me the day before.
They brought all their supplies with them for packing.
They did t seem to overcharge for the supplies they used.
I was actually very pleased with that part.
5 stars for that!
they did not nickel and dime me for the supplies they brought when packing for us. Also,
they were really flexible and really good with last minute changes.
I called them the day before to have them come pack for us because I tried but couldn't finish it.
I also called them the week of the move to change the date/time because of last minute work issues.

I stated earlier that this was a horrible business. Admiral Movers of South Windsor, CT was not the moving company that I had issues with but a business out of New Jersey and a 201 area code. Unfortunately, the Jersey company hijacked the the Google search. After reading some of these reviews I think some of these people are talking about the guy I Jersey and not Admiral Movers of South Windsor, CT. I am giving them five stars because they have no control over this other company.

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. We had our stuff in storage with them for about a year, then they moved us into our new house. First they forgot one of our couches and wouldn't call me back for two weeks when I inquired about when it would be delivered. Then I went to put a platform bed to discover that one of the main pieces was broken...a thick piece of wood snapped in half. It wasn't that way when they moved it out of our house. Don't use them unless you want them to break your stuff and have generally terrible customer service.

They really made us feel better about the whole process.

We are very happy with the quote that they provided, the packing of all the items in our home and the setting up went perfect.

Based on personal experience I would warn consumers to avoid working with this company. We were both grossly misquoted and treated very poorly during our recent residential move.

On the morning of the move a small truck arrived with only three movers, knowing this would not be adequate we called Admiral and were berrated over the phone by an employee. At our request an additional man was sent but only stayed to help for 2 hours. Because of insufficient manpower and the size of the truck, two trips had to be made which led to the overall cost of the move being more than $1000 over the estimate.

Our calls and emails to Admiral after the move for customer service went unanswered.

I was so stressed out with this move into our "newly constructed" house but Admiral Moving & Storage went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. From start to finish I felt at ease that they had it. Whatever question I had about what to expect or how I should prepare was answered completely and when I asked it. I also was given the estimater's cell phone number so if anything came up I could just call her, whenever. It was personnal and I felt at ease because of it. When moving day finally came the moving men protected my house so throughly my concerns about the horror stories I've heard about moving were put to rest. I could see my new house was protected. Everyone came in uniform which I was surprised by and very friendly. They were there to help me not just move my furniture. I would recommend Admiral to anyone who is looking for a mover. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. And with no claims! -Joanie, West Hartford
