Terrible. TERRIBLE. terrible. ...

Terrible. TERRIBLE. terrible.

I have not gone there since VICTOR, the area's best bike mechanic, left. When he was there, I bought two American Flyers for my sons and a Biria Step-thru Bike for my wife, about $800 worth of bikes and an additional $200 of custom work. However, a problem arose after VICTOR left. The mechanics they hired were absolutely awful and their character more than a bit sketchy. I bought a root beer colored vintage Westport ten-speed off of Ebay. It was an awesome vinty 1970s racing/commuting bike. I needed work so I took it it to them. After a week they called me about the repairs and the cost, and I agreed. Another 3 weeks passed, I called them and they said they were still working on it. OKAY. I let it go another 3 weeks before I called, and they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Infuriated, I went down there, and they didnt have my bike. Then the owner, a Filipina lady, said that on the back of the ticket it says I have to pick up my bike within 30 days etc, and I told her I had called every three weeks only to be told that my bike was still being worked on. She insisted that I was mistaken and that I had probably left my bike off at another bike shop. Wow. Dont go here. They are dishonest, they will steal your bike if left overnight. And as far as I know, they still have the same mechanics they had a few years ago. Go to Bicycle Doctor in Highland Park/Yorktown on York and Avenue 50 or Downtown LA Bicycles on 1625 South Hill.
