Provided by YP.comPlease read this. We took our dog of 11 years to this vet. We are from out of town. She wasn't eating. This vet took her blood - it showed her kidneys were failing. So Dandy Acres said - you need to put her down. She is suffering. OMG- the worst thing you want to hear. We were devastated. We felt something was wrong because although we knew she was sick, she was acting mostly fine. We - thank goodness- took her to another vet for a second opinion. They put her on medicine. She is FINE! Happy happy and we STILL have her. You blood levels have gone way down. Please do not trust this vet at all.
Hi Carol, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy, but in fairness: You never set foot in our clinic the day we saw Mia. Your husband Mike brought Mia here without you. We fit him in immediately because Mia was ill. She clearly had been in poor shape for some time so we recommended: Fluids immediately, Hospitalization, Aggressive treatment, Pain relief medication. Your husband DECLINED everything we recommended. We informed Mike that Mia was in pain and that it was clear to all that she was suffering and that if you were to do nothing, then the humane course would have been euthanasia…but that could clearly be avoided with treatment. Again, Mike declined all treatment. We recommended referring Mia to another clinic if we thought that would help. Mike declined, saying he wanted to go home and talk to you about it. The next day, you hospitalized Mia, thankfully, at another clinic, and pursued all the treatments we had recommended the day before. -Terry McCarthy, Owner, Dandy Acres

Provided by YP.comThis place is a wonderful place to take your pet. The staff is great and the veterinarian's are wonderful. I have taken my dog there for years and they always remember him. They are a very caring group of people.
