Utah R&I has to be one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever rented from. First, the owner's of the property that we leased weren't notified, and were surprised when we moved in. The property management company let the grass in the front and the back of the house die in the middle of July, when the prior renter moved out and the owner's were angry that the property management company hadn't taken care of their landscaping. Then, we had a major gas leak in our house after we moved in, and called the rude receptionist and she was upset that we called the gas company!! She told us that we should have called them first, and when my wife said that she did, which made her aloof to the situation. Well it turned out that the gas leak was very serious, and it was a good thing that we did call the gas company after countless attempts with Utah R & I. Next, I just lost my job and had to break our lease. So I called their company and it was understood that I could break our lease, and get our security deposit back as long as we paid the "lease buy out". It has been almost a month and a half and I have yet to see my deposit. I recently called to talk with the receptionist and she told me that since we broke our lease that we would not get our deposit back!! I told her that I called about a month earlier, and she told me that we would get our deposit back, but it would take about a month. She totally contradicted herself from the earlier phone call, and then she passed the buck to the owner saying that I had to talk to him. I told her that I had left a voicemail for him about three weeks earlier, and he had yet to call me back. It seems that there is no communication with this company, and there is a lack of "due care". I was told that I need to talk with the owner on Monday, because there is no one in the office when I called that could take care of my situation. All in all, I would steer clear from this company!! Very, Very unprofessional!!
