I would NOT recommend Red Peak Electric to anyone who is inquiring electric work.

Here is my experience with Red Peak Electric-

We needed some small electric work done in our house with our lighting fixtures. We were referred to Red Peak Electric by our lighting/furniture store since most of our lighting fixtures were purchased through them. Mark (the owner of Red Peak Electric) and his apprentice came over to take a look and diagnose the problems with our lighting fixture. They told me they had other jobs to work on that day and that they would stop by a warehouse afterwards to pick up the parts they needed to.

A couple hours later they came back to our house to do the installations they spent no more than 45 minutes in labor completing these jobs. I asked them how much I needed to pay them and they both looked at each other and smiled than looked back at me and replied

“Don’t worry about it we will send you an invoice.”

I did not hear or receive anything from them regarding a payment for over 6 months. When I received an invoice in the mail from them, they claimed that they worked 11 hours in labor and had billed me an extremely high amount. I was very concerned because besides the 30 minutes of diagnosing the electrical problems and the other 45 minutes of actual labor fixing the problems, this company did not spend over 1.25 hours in my presence in which I hired them for. When I called and confronted them on this, Marks reply was

“Well don’t hire someone if you can’t afford it”

What business owner gives that kind of response to a worried or dissatisfied customer?
The cost is not the issue here, it’s that in my personal experience Red Peak Electric is fraudulently over billing their customers. This kind of customer service is unethical, dishonest and deceitful.
If you need electric work done even if you have foreign/exotic lighting fixtures go somewhere that knows how to bill their clients honestly and will have respectable business practices.

Integrity. These guys have it. Honest, and good to work with, and fair. I would highly recommend them.
