Thornwood High School, based in South Holland, Ill., operates under the Thornton Township High School District 205. It offers classes from grades nine through 12 and enrolls more than 2,000 students every year. Thornwood High School offers classes in various subjects and organizes a wide range of programs and clubs for students, including band, cheerleading, chorus, ethnicity singers, French club, prom committee, National Honor Society, student council, peer mediators and spring play clubs. The school also organizes sporting programs in tennis, baseball, softball and track. It provides a variety of library and media resources for students. Thornton Township High School District 205 also operates other schools, including Thornton Township High School and Thornridge High School.
