Dr. Kuivenhoven loves working as a family medicine doctor because it allows him the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients, while helping them live healthy, fulfilling lives.Though he cares for patients with a variety of ongoing health needs, he has a special interest in working with geriatric patients and those with Alzheimer's disease. He also enjoys treating migraines, helping with weight loss and dermatology.In his spare time, Dr. Kuivenhoven and his wife foster cats. He also enjoys king, skiing, playing soccer, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family.Patients are not just patients to me. Each is a person coming to me for medical care. This isn't something I take lightly. Using a listen-first approach, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients. The more I understand about their background, hobbies, habits and lifestyle, the more value I can bring as their primary care doctor. I believe in a holistic approach to medicine, focused on healthy lifestyle choices.
