Claudia's Tea Room is an awesome place. I recommend it highly for any party or special occasion you might be planning. The food is great and the staff is on top of every thing that would possibly come up. Also overnight accommodations are available and you are you are treated like family. I recommend it with the highest regard.

i recently attended an event at claudias tea room we had a blast my wife an i come on reguler bases charlie, renee, sara, and bev. always have great service and some of the nicest people and the shimp boil is awsome

I go here at least once a month. The owner is awesome and so is the staff. The cooks are awesome. They are very friendly and helpful. They make everybody feel welcome and tonight we even had alot of military here that was honored and spoke. This is a wonderful place to go.

Claudia's is under new management and has an entirely new staff. I just attended a tea and the menu was devine. Prepared by their new chef and kitchen staff, the presentation was elegant and the food yummy! Thanks for making our day a great one!

I recently had the displeasure of attending a wedding at Claudias Tea Room in Sonora, Ky.

We came from Tennessee for my cousins wedding and it was a shambles. The director is scatter brained, and wants to stand around and give orders to everyone that is the family, guests, and wedding party not her staff. The entire staff was clueless, and stood around doing nothing. The family had to ask the wedding party to help prepare for the event, and were absolutely exhausted by the time the ceremony began. Nothing was done by the venue that was suppose to be done. There werent enough serving dishes, or plates. The food was poorly done, and presented horribly in crock pots, and on plastic trays (more like a family picnic or reunion than a wedding). Tables were not ready or chairs placed around them, and the director wanted the groomsmen to get up and do it. The linens had stains all over them, and were wrinkled like they just came from the dryer. The owner walked around cursing all day, and being rude to the wedding party and guests. The rental was suppose to include tables, chairs, linens, and the entire grounds however come to find out they booked guests in rooms even though the entire grounds were already booked by the family for 2 days. So, guests were wondering around while the wedding party was trying to prepare and get dressed. Also during the ceremony and reception guests were wondering in and out, and had bicycles everywhere. Its was outrageous. The family was promised that certain repairs would be made before their event, and none of it was done. The director started complaining for the family to wrap it up at 9pm even though the venue was paid for until 12am. To top it off when guests were trying to exit the parking lot the owner with a beer in hand was yelling, and cursing at them they were going the wrong way, and waving his arms like a mad man. I have never seen such a mess in my life, and will never recommend this disaster of a venue or staff to anyone. The saddest part is they paid top dollar for the rental, and the venue staff did nothing they were suppose to do, and were rude the entire time.
