Mountaintop Area Elementary School, located in Snow Shoe, Pa., is the second largest of the four elementary schools in the Bald Eagle Area School District and enrolls more than 250 students annually. The school offers educational and extracurricular programs for children from grades kindergarten through six. It lays special emphasis on the areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening and its curriculum includes mathematics, history, geography, economics, science, English, physical education, art and craft and music. Mountaintop has one computer laboratory with 24 computer stations, classrooms with one computer station and Internet services available in numerous locations. The school s library has a computerized retrieval system and uses technology for reference searches and employs 16 certified teachers and 12 support and kitchen staff.
