I recently moved to Nashville and travel quite extensively for work and depend greatly on a good security service. I went with Security 1st as they are an authorized ADT dealer, who I’ve used in the past. However, Security 1st installed a system I didn’t ask for, it wasn’t operable for over a week and I literally had to have 4 different conversations with the sales person before he would send out a technician to get the system up and running. Then, the technician who installed the system failed to inform me of all the options so after reading the manual I called Security 1st to have the technician come back to my home to re-program the system. I was told by the technician over the phone that what I was asking for was against “ADT standards”. I called ADT to verify and they told me I was given incorrect information and what I was asking for could be done. I then called back Security 1st to relay this information as well as cancel my contract given all the frustration I’ve had in trying to do business with them. I was told by the office manager that the only way I could get out of the contract was is if I paid 75% of the remaining contract term. Now, I’ve not only had to call the customer complaint service with ADT, I’ve had to call the office that manages the dealers and have yet to get this resolved. I would not recommend Security 1st to anyone!!!!!
