If you want correct medical care, STAT Smithtown is the place to go. Ask for Dr. Tottenham because she is like a smart detective when she diagnoses your condition. I agree with reviews below that they care. Too bad re: poor 1s below for billing--sounds unreal.

Without a doubt my favorite Stat Health. Their team is not only efficient, caring and thorough but also gives follow up calls to see how you're doing after the fact and make sure your condition has improved. Would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Tottenham. She is one of the most capable and incredible doctors I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was in and out quicker than any other walk in I've used and will definitely be going back there if I need to be seen again.

My husband and I have been to the Smithtown Stat Health on a handful of occasions when our primary care doctors were unavailable (Sundays, Holidays, after hours). Each time their diagnoses were right on target. The doctors were very courteous and...they always give a follow-up call. Even my own doctor never did that,

They Refused to see me!! Said that I have an old balance of $30. From 6 or 7 years ago. they would not take my money or see me. I have never received a bill and I have never had a $30 copay. (If they think I owed them they should work it out with me. ) But in truth I owe them nothing and was willing to provide what ever they wanted. I would have even paid it and let them reimburse me later, but I was told that they would not see me until I go away and work out this balance with billing and then come back. I thought this place was called Urgent Care! They left me to die at the curb, and over the years promoted them to my family and friends. I have several family members that are suppose to see them this coming week and now will not!!!!!! I ended up going to Excel Urgent Care and they were appalled at the way I was treated. And even though I insisted they take my copay they wouldn't because they weren't sure how much it was and they also take all insurances.

"Board Certified" apparently means nothing. Went there 2 weeks, was 'diagnosed' with poison ivy (mind you, the doctor did not even come into the room. He stopped in the doorway, looked at my arms from there and made his diagnosis). Still hadn't cleared up so I went to my primary care doctor's office. The NP took a look (actually examined my arms) and said it's NOT poison ivy, I have an allergy! Could have saved myself $30 and 2 extra weeks of suffering. And, they were going to scam me out of $50 but luckily when my insurance had come to my job, they specifically said that the urgent care places are the same copay as our regular physician copay, so I told them I'm only paying $30 and they can bill me for the extra $20 after I get my EOB from the insurance. Needless to say, it's only the $30. Never going back to this place again.

Over all excellent, clean, kind and quick. I have never had a bad experience. I would actually rather go to them then my regular physician where I have to wait an hour.I recommend them highly.
