After reading the review which took place in 2011, I'm hoping everything has been resolved. If the place is being rented the supervisor should be there the day before to check the property. If not clean, I would demand my money back as well.

I rented Eagles Nest park in Slatington, Pa in Washington township for my sons 3rd birthday party. It was always a nice park thats why we decided to have his party there but when I got there the entire park was TRASHED.



There was garbage everywhere and I had to clean it up before I could even set up for my sons party. Upon cleaning up the park... I found a used syringe in the grass near the garbage can so I called the state police to come pick it up b/c I was not risking touching it. I was very embarrassed that I had to explain to everyone to stay away from the garbage can due to a needle on the ground and then b/c I had to stop participating in my sons party to speak to an officer.



I called the township office about the situation and left a message about the condition I found the park in. When I received a call back I explained what happened and that I would like some sort of refund and the lady said she would speak to her supervisor and get back to me. After 5 days of no call back, I called them back and they said I can not have a refund b/c I still used the park. THE ONLY REASON I STILL USED IT IS B/C I HAD PEOPLE COMING! If that wasn't the case I would have left!! I believe if I am paying to rent a place and I am responsible for my cleanup afterwards that the place should be clean when I get there! Well I will never be renting with Washington township again and I am in the process of talking to someone to get me the refund I DESERVE plus extra for my cleaning services!
