I Love The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Sioux City. The Casino is Very Clean & Smells Very Good. Staff are Very Nice.

Do not book this hotel for a wedding! They had so many mix ups with rooms. Here were a list of the things that went wrong.



1. Our entire wedding party plus multiple family and friends booked rooms for a wedding here. We had confirmation numbers for everything. Imagine the one groomsman's surprise when he came back from the wedding to find his stuff packed up at the front desk and that they had checked him out of his room because he didn't sign in. The lady at the front desk said he didn't need to sign in, so didn't. How rude of them to take his stuff without even a phone call. He was one of many that slept on the floor that night. Which leads into my next issue...



2. Many of our friends/family members asked for rooms with two beds and only got one. That left many people sleeping on the floor.



3. We talked asked them to have a shuttle bus to and from our reception site to the hotel. They said this would not be a problem. Our meal was served at 6:30. We were again surprised when they said they couldn't take people after 6:00 due to them having another commitment at that time, but would start picking people up again in an hour or so.



4. They cannot keep track of hotel rooms for the life of them. So many issues with check-in and check-out dates. We made people keep calling them and confirming because we had been told so many different things. Example: A different groomsman was only checked in for Thursday night but needed it for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They magically made a room appear for the extra nights a week before the wedding. The week of the wedding they told us (bride/groom) that we had canceled our room, which was impossible. After an hour of waiting around to see if they could figure out what the problem was, we got a phone call back confirming we had our room. We were so nervous checking in.



We (bride/groom) sent an email and left a message for the manager to call us back to talk about these issues. To this day we haven't gotten a response. Only after multiple attempts by the mother of the groom did she finally speak to a manager about some of the issues. They have excuses and no solutions. Terrible service. We will not stay here again, nor will we recommend this place to anyone else.
