My infant's first day at KA- He was placed on the floor crying on his back unable to rollover. I waited and watched him cry. After some time my husband called me and told me to go get him he had had enough. By the time I stopped working and drove all the way to KA my son was still in the same spot crying. We decided to let family keep him until he was a year. Not long after he moved into class after infant room, I witnessed a teacher try to force him down on the cot since he was not sleeping and then proceeded to kick the cot out of anger -his head was inches from hitting the table. Later the teacher continued to yank the arms of many toddlers to get them to cooperate. My son was left in the next room alone while the class went to the library. The owner informed me the teacher said she counted the kids in the library & returned to realize “it was just .“ I picked my son up in library with diaper soaked in urine through this clothing. His socks & shoes literally dripping! Later my son was left alone while the class went to another class to get supplies. I called because he was placed with wrong class after leaving soccer shots- no one realized it! I witnessed a teacher toss a sleeping girl out of her cot onto the floor, then rip the blanket from under her as she continued to sleep. This is not a complete list. On more than 1 occasion I left work early pick him up. Once I was afraid he did not have snack/drink on a very hot day. It was confirmed by the teacher-he was not yet use to open cups & snack provided. Averaged 3-4 primary teachers each room-lacked consistency. He was again left alone a room while the rest of the K4 class was in the gym with the door closed. Fed up with halfhearted apologies/denials I informed DSS. KA was cited w/2 violations. Go to scchildcare org, search for Kiddie Academy. Google kiddie academy five forks charged with child abuse. Read the reviews of prior employees about being out of ratio. If you use KA, use the cameras.

I picked my son up in library with diaper soaked in urine through this clothing. His socks and shoes were literally dripping. This is not an exaggeration. 5.Another teacher my son was left alone while she and the class went to another class to get supplies. 6.I had to call because he was placed with wrong class after leaving soccer shots and no one realized it as time passed. 7.I witnessed another teacher toss a sleeping girl out of her cot onto the floor, and then rip the blanket out from under her as she continued to sleep. 8.This is not even a complete list. There was more than one occasion I left my job early to come pick him up early. Once I was afraid he did not have snack and/or drink on a very hot day. It was confirmed by the teacher at the time as he was not yet use to open cups and the snack provided. 9.He has averaged 3-4 primary teachers (not floaters) in each room. There has been very little consistency in that regards. 10.He was again left alone a classroom while the rest of the K4 class was in the gym with the door closed. Fed up with the halfhearted apologies and denials I informed DSS. They were cited with 2 violations. Do your own research. Go to scchildcare org and search for Kiddie Academy. Google search kiddie academy five forks charged with child abuse. Read reviews on previous employees about being out of ratio and moving kids from class to class in the morning and afternoon. There is a systemic problem with the management of this daycare. If you us KA use the cameras. That is the only reason we stayed as long as we did.

The last reviewer left the same comments on an employee review site (so obviously an angry employee). I would hope people would use their common sense since the review is so detailed and seems much more personal than simply a parent review! My kids love it there and I wouldn't send them anywhere else! The other local centers are too stuffy and not friendly. They don't even look child oriented! Take the time to check any place out yourself and don't go on the word of an obvious employee who probably doesnt like working with kids anyway.

Kiddie Academy presents a great picture. The facility is great - it's clean, cheerful and feels secure. Offering web cameras is a benefit. However, when it comes down to the actual service provided, it falls short. The staff turnover is huge. I can't tell you how many teachers my child had in a short amount of time. Yes, I know turnover is high in the daycare industry, but we have since found a much better school with much lower turnover rates. Kiddie Academy does not value their teachers. You can walk in and quickly see that the teachers are unhappy. Teachers are the ones that make the difference in whether or not my child has a great experience. The owner/director is not friendly. She openly blames teachers and acts ugly when parents dis-enroll their children. She plays the ratio game which is not okay. Children should not be shuffled back and forth just because they enroll whomever is willing. There is a lot of drama and they do not run the place professionally.

This is a great place to bring your kids! My children love their teachers and both my children (4 and 2) are learning SO much! After touring other facilities in the area, this was the only one that I felt very at home with. It's bright, cheery, and everyone has a great attitude about teaching and caring for kids. We love it here and will be sad when our kids graduate! (At least they can stay in afterschool a few more years! :))

Great school! The classrooms are clean, bright, cheery, and kid-friendly. The staff is helpful and a huge focus is put on education. My child comes home happy everyday! I just love to hear her come home singing songs and trying to teach me all the things she has learned! Would definitely recommend to any parent in the area!

I am a mother of two and my children attend Kiddie Academy for 2 and 1/2 years now and I could not be more PLEASED!! When I read these posts I had to reply to let people know how I felt as well as the staff of Kiddie Academy and the owners who are always on-site and take pride in what they do. Being a parent of 2 children as well as a hard working professional I take pride in where I place my children and the care they receive. The fact of the matter is that Kiddie Academy does the same. They are the only Child Care Learning Center (notice I did not say DAY CARE) that has followed thru on what they have sold to me. The curriculum is exceptional, the staff is well educated and holds credentials (those that have made it thru the high standards that Kiddie Academy places/expects)- Let's face it people these are our children! I don't know about you but I would rather my child be placed in the right hands. Keep up the great work- I could not be more pleased. Thank You!

This daycare has an extremely high turnover rate; my son had 6 teachers in 4 months in his classroom alone and many other teachers left in other classrooms; I never knew who was "really "watching my son; additionally two asst directors left in 6 months time; the owners are rude and confrontational not receptive; my child never had his clothes changed; he stayed sick from the filth; the care-givers are not enthusiastic due to low morale; and i questioned their qualifications. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. When I put in my written two week notice, the owners were so offended that they told me not to return my son the following week. stay away from there. Every picture tells a thousand words right... Every picture i saw taken there of my son he was either near in tears or sad looking. I knew something just wasn't right.

Kiddie Academy has been such a great place for me and my child, he has learned so much in just the few months that he has attended the school. I would highly suggest it to anyone looking for childcare. I find the school to be very clean and friendly,

I had many problems with this daycare. It is very unclean. They are suppose to wash the toys every Thursday but that is never done. The toys are mostly broken and gunked up with god knows what. My child's hands and face were rarely washed. On camera I witnessed the teacher wearing the same pair of gloves changing all the children's diapers never washing her hands or changing the gloves between diapers and going outside of the diaper changing area to check other children's diapers with those same soiled gloves on. My child was constantly sick. Also my daughter had way too many incident reports for injuries due to overcrowding of classrooms. You can get way better care for the same money in greenville. My advice - keep looking.
