Founded in 1977, SCAN Health Plan is the fourth largest nonprofit Medicare Advantage health plan in the United States. Located in Long Beach, Calif., SCAN Health Plan is a Medicare advantage organization with a Medicare contract. Additionally, the firm contracts with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for Medicare/Medi-Cal eligible beneficiaries.
