I bought my Chevy Avalanche from H&H. The sales team at H&H was great. I would highly recommend them.

Mr. Nye,

While we appreciate your response, we would respect it more if there weren't so many errors present. The bottom line is this: we were not satisfied with our vehicle or with H&H's response to our dissatisfaction, and we will not recommend to any of our friends, family, or acquaintances to purchase a vehicle from H&H.

Great service

I bought my first "grownup car" right out of college. H&H chevrolet gave me a great deal and I love my car, so when I got a recall notice in the mail from GM I was worried. I called them the next day to set up an appointment to get things checked. Everyone was so nice while I was there they even offered to let me use a loaner if needed. I have never had any issues with them and I will continue to go back.

I bought a truck from H&H Chev...

I bought a truck from H&H Chevrolet in an 'AS IS" condition. The salesman told me that the truck was being sold "AS IS" because they did not want to spend money to make sure that the truck would pass inspection. He listed all of the issues that they were not willing to fix. This included replacing tires and replacing an aftermarket exhaust. Once all of the issues were listed we negotiated a price based on the list of problems. Three days after I bought the truck I found a major issue with the engine that is going to cost half of the value of the truck to fix.

I contacted H&H to tell them that I was not happy that I found such a major issue three days after the purchase and that they did not disclose this issue to me when I was discussing the "AS IS" condition and subsequent price negotiation. They agreed to inspect the vehicle to confirm that the issue did exsist.

After I had confirmation of the problem I talked to the sales manager and the general manager to try to work repair price negotiation out with them. They told me that there was no indication of the failure before they sold me the truck and they knew nothing about it. This is a point of contention because they have trained technicians who would have inspected the truck upon trade in and would have found this obvious issue. I made them what I considered to be a very reasonable offer and offered to pay for half of the repairs. They refused to negotiate with me and would not drop the price of the repair from what the service department told me.

My biggest problem with H&H comes from dealing with the managers and sales people, but if in fact they are telling the truth and they knew nothing about the major issue then I can only assume that their service department is incapable of finding even a very obvious issue.

Dear Customer, I am sorry to hear that you are upset about your recent purchase. It is our Goal at H&H Chevrolet Cadillac to completely satisfy every one of our customers no matter what they have purchased. This year, we are proud to be celebrating our 80th year as H&H Chevrolet and feel confident that it is our relentless effort for customer satisfaction that has made us so successful over all these years. During your sales transactions our Management staff reviewed a list of all the facts that we had knowledge of from the visual inspection performed by our GM trained Certified Technician. At the time of this review a $2,000 adjustment was given to you and a subsequent $1,400 adjustment was offered to you by our the Sales and Service Managers which you refused. The vehicle you purchased is a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with over 167,000 miles. It was in otherwise very nice condition given the fact that it is 10 years old. The vehicle was priced aggressively for the year, miles and the Duramax Diesel engine and Allison transmission. It was our number one viewed vehicle on all of our web sites including Autotrader. Our Certified Service Department had performed a routine “Certification Inspection” on the vehicle and due to a list of external “issues” that we were aware of, and due to the age and miles, we decided not to perform any repairs. The vehicle would be sold with an “AS IS” designation. One of our Master GM Certified Technicians with over 25 years of GM experience conducted this visual inspection; meaning that the brakes, tires, ball joints, switches, PA inspection items etc. were examined but no major assemblies were torn down. As the customer, you drove approximately 30 miles to see the vehicle. My staff reviewed the “list” with you and upon your request to take the vehicle to “your mechanic” for an inspection prior to the purchase decision (a 60 mile round trip), permission was given. We provided a Dealer tag and the fuel and you left with our vehicle to have your own mechanic inspect it, returning several hours later. After open discussion of the list, we discounted the vehicle an additional $2,000 dollars to give you an allowance to perform the repairs you felt were needed. You agreed to purchase the vehicle “as is”. Any vehicle over 10 years old and over 167,000 miles has a risk of additional problems. We completed the transaction on Oct 9th and you returned on Oct 13th stating that you discovered excess diesel fuel in the oil when the oil was changed. My staff informed you that we would be happy to look into the cause. After reviewing with you that excess fuel was seeping from the injectors into the engine, it was recommended to replace the injectors. We were unaware of this leakage as we did not change the oil prior to the sale nor did we tear down the injectors and pump. When asked what we would do for you to help, we offered you an additional $1,400 in discounts on parts/labor. You asked my staff for even more assistance and we declined. You had made an informed decision to buy a ten year old truck with over 167,280 miles “as is” and were given the opportunity to take the truck to your own mechanic. You were also given a $2,000 discount off the price and then an additional $1,400 in discounts to resolve your problem with genuine GM parts. Factoring the low price on the truck in the first place and with all of the assistance my staff gave you before and after the sale on an “AS IS” vehicle; I believe we acted in good faith and with customer satisfaction in mind. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to be heard. Sincerely, Mickey

I purchased a new car at H&H.The sales team there is excellent. I had called in and talked one of the sales team member and when I went in for my appointment, he had already picked out a few cars for me to look at.I've also had my car serviced there and my car has been ready for me when it is to be picked up.
